Calvin - update

Post by Gens Camper on Tue Sep 22, 2009 8:29 am

Calvin Dehann is not on the New York Isander player website - not on GENS website - don't believe he has signed

Hopefully he is back for home opener this Friday

Any rumours

he's played at least 3..... i believe he is going to stay with the club until the end of the preseason, i can see him sticking until 9 games into the season.... i think thats how u get away with not using a year of the contract

He has played in three of the five games. He scored a goal in his second game. he doesnt look out of place on the ice. he is playing around 20min per game.knowing the type of club the islanders are it wouldnt surprise me if he stays.

he's been told he won't stay.... the islanders are bad but they are cash strapped.... can't see them playing him this year..... better to have him at 800,000 four years from now then 2-3 million

in speaking with an oshawa generals staff last night. He said the generals have apparently been informed that calvin will start the season with the islanders, and will play his 9 games and then be evaluated and they will decide whether he is staying or will be sent back to oshawa.

Calvin - 9 games

Post by Gens Camper on Tue Sep 29, 2009 6:51 am

Great for calvin

Not good news for a GENS fan

8TH place is possible with him

A battle for 8th like last yr without him

Calvin is injured and will not suit up for the Islanders tonight for there final exhibition game. Calvin has said he's waiting to hear what they are going to do with him. Islanders management believe he can make an impact at the NHL level so does Calvin. However he says he's not sure he's ready cause it's taking a toll on his body.

I say send him back to us so that he can work on his strength and conditioning if its going to be a proble.

I also say shop him at the deadline.

Also think that we can make 8th with or without him Gens Camper. We've looked good so far the defence just needs to settle down.

Calvin was sent back to the Gen's yesterday as the NYI's had to trim down as they claimed Rob Shrimp(sp) off waviers.
Welcome back Calvin. Very Happy

We need his powerplay strength - with him here we win both games last week end

Maybe you didn't notice but Brampton just got Cody Hodgson back

He was the player of the year in all of Canada last yr

We were got to be 8th last yr - missed by a point

DEHAAN IS BACK!

The Gens site is reporting that he is back with the club. I know he was day to day with the islanders. Hoping he's in the lineup tomorrow night.... but I would assume he will for sure be there sunday.

You guys can view the site? For the past few days I can get into it. Just the opening page where the intro plays. When I click on the hyperlink at the bottom to enter the site nothing happens.
