A trade with Sudbury?

Post by steamed on Sat Oct 17, 2009 5:33 am

On the OHL Sudbury roster site they have Brian Hughes listed as #28 does anyone heard jf there was a trade and who we got? I think it would be a conditional pick if a trade did happened. or was it just a error on the OHL site.

You believe what the guy on the radio said on most nights he doesn't know who's playing Laughing
But if you look on the OHL game sheet Brian Hughes is listed #28 on Sudbury's team.

He is listed on the OHL site under stats as having played one game for Sudbury. A 2nd selection in the 5th round this year, he was kept around camp for a short perioid of time and then cut, I believe. I thought the Gens might be grooming him to replace Parnham if and when they move him at the trade deadline but they already have the maximum of four "93's" on their roster. I hope he doesn't turn out to be another Eric O'Dell! They should get at least another 5th or maybe a fourth for him,..hopefully! They will probably announce this on the Gens' site in a week or two as Brian was not on their active roster... or..maybe not at all?

I also just noticed he is on the Sudbury roster on the OHL site, so no blaming the announcer for this one!

Is this Huges related to the Huges that played in Kingston and Brampton? Does anyone know?

Ok, now I get it. He is listed on the OHL site twice, once on the Wolves team list (roster) and on the stats page where he is shown as an addition to the team. Weird! He might have been called up on the ten game tryout as I thought he was on a Jr.A or "B" card. Very confusing! Thanks for the clarification! I wonder why he was re-called as usually it's due to injury or player shortage. Was someone not dressed last night, not including the rotation of the 16 year old defencemen?
