Generals topics on Noof
hey generals fans. How many of you are on the noof? It seems that London fans dominate the noof and love to beat down all other fans. Just wondering and looking forward to more input from Generals nation.....I know that GMC118 would love to stir it up on there but can't

I think the West in general is well-represented on the NOOF: London, Windsor and Kitchener in particular have a decent contingent of vocal supporters there. No team in the Eastern Conference seems to have anything close. I am on there though.

Re: Generals topics on Noof
I go on the NOOF when the topic is of interest and your observations are dead on. Most of the lengthier threads are Windsor. London and Kitchener, especially where they are longer or controversial. I must admit there are some very well informed contributors from those cities buut occasionally their fans overvalue their own players or the development of them. There's a major thread around Jesse Blacker that's much ado about little which is typical of the things they dwell on but you got to admire their enthusiasm!

Re: Generals topics on Noof
Another hot item on the NOOF is the congrats to Del Zotto thread which has deteriorated into who won the Tavares trade and was John the "second banana" in that deal. This has evolved into who won the trade now that Michael is not returning to London debate. So far it looks like the Gens as they have Thomas, Valentine and Zador and their first two picks which have turned into Biggs and Lessio...maybe. Put that on the NOOF and watch them bite!

I was kicked off a couple years ago. only read the NOOF once in a while when it concersn the Gens. The fans on that site are very knowledgeable, but biased towards London, Windsor and Kitchener.

Do you think that the western teams mentioned gets more
threads because they are winning more and create more fan
interest and the rivalries are more intense

I would have to agree with Gens camper...when teams are winning .....and contending year after year....the rivalries would intesify and bragging rights being postured for.

Re: Generals topics on Noof
Well I guess you can't defend your city or former players on the Noof as they have made me inactive. It's too bad becasue you get a lot of info on there but it is dominated by London fans who can't do any wrong. So any Generals fans left on there lets hope we beat London Friday and then you get to read all the excuses from the Green Kool aid nation.

NOOF SUCKS period!
but then i'm bitter cause they didn't approve my membership when I signed up....
so whatever
the forum allows only certain members, and is extremely strict with what can be posted, I don't see it as being a good place to get the whole story

Re: Generals topics on Noof
The NOOF must have strict censorship because there are literally thousands and thousands of people on there. If they didn't lock threads, any useful information or dialogue would be lost amongst the personal insults, gossip and general stupidity. It might seem excessive but it's necessary. If you've experienced a board that is poorly moderated, you would know exactly what I'm talking about.
