Generally Speaking
Erik Robichaud, who played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League last season, was released Wednesday following a two-game tryout, leaving the Generals with centre Brian Hughes and defenceman Colin Suellentrop as the only two overagers for now ... Shawn Mabley dressed and relieved Daniel Altshuller late in Wednesday’s game, but will be assigned to the Clarington midget team with Ken Appleby as the team’s returning backup ... The Frontenacs are one of three OHL teams in the CHL pre-season season Top-10, ranked ninth behind the No. 1 London Knights and No. 5 Guelph Storm ... The Generals are on the road for the first three games of the season, with the home opener scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 29 against the Kitchener Rangers.
