Congrats to Peter Horachek- former General

Former Oshawa General Peter Horachek has been named interim coach of the Florida Panthers.

Peter played 3 seasons here in Oshawa scoring 35 goals and 67 assists in 1979-80. He was a hard worker when he was here.

He joined the coaching ranks in 1988 when his playing career ended.

I wish him well.

Being old has some benefits. There were a lot of good players and more to the point good people who have passed through the Generals over the years. Nice to see them succeed.

The Florida G M - Dale Tallon who appointed Peter is also a former General

Also Dale Tallon as a General was involved in a huge 5 player trade with the Toronto Marlies
