Royal Bank Cup

I know everyone is probably watching the Memorial Cup but on TSN the Royal Bank Cup Final is on. Arguably the toughest championship to win. To qualify for this tournament you not only have to win your respective league, but also have to win a regional championship that is formatted similar to the Memorial
cup. Carleton Place is from the CCHL and have Generals draft pick Kelly Summers on D & former General Adam Llyod skating on their 3rd line.

For anyone wondering its the same level as the OPJAHL. The Toronto Lakeshore Patriots won the Dudley Hewitt Cup over host Wellington Dukes to earn their spot in this tournament, but lost In a tie break game an did not qualify for a Semi Final. Jeremy Helving a Kingston Frontenacs prospect was their backup, expect him to be in Kingston next year. An Michael Prapavessis was named top defensemen in the tournament and is a London Knights prospect but is expected to go the NCAA route. However he is also highly touted for the upcoming NHL draft and when drafted an NHL club will likely want him to go to London.

Sidenote, Kelly Summers is also highly touted for the NHL drafted an it's not out of the boxing thinking in suggesting he to could be asked to report to the OHL. Adding Summers would be a HUGE ! Addition to the Generals roster. Summers currently is ranked 73 on NHL central scouting and is committed to Clarkson University
