Well here are my thoughts - The Islanders have a history of returning their picks to junior

I just checked the game sheet 2 night - Boston vs Islanders - no Dal Colle

He has not dressed for the last 3 games including tonight - strange if you had plans on keeping him - would you not play him

My thoughts are he will return

And the final audition on the left wing of John Tavares and Kyle Okposo is a player who excelled there (and in every role, really) last season: Brock Nelson. If Nelson works there, and if Strome has another coach-pleasing display, then the Islanders top nine should end up looking as glorious as most fans hoped it would with this kind of talent in the system.

Finally, 2014 draft picks Michael Dal Colle and Joshua Ho-Sang get one more pro look before being returned to juniors, and John Tavares and Kyle Okposo will play in front of the Bridgeport fans.

The New York Islanders on Saturday returned both of their 2014 first-round draft picks to their junior teams. Michael Dal Colle (No. 5) was sent back to the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League and Joshua Ho-Sang (No. 28) was returned to the OHL's Windsor Spitfires.

Michael Dal Colle is expected to be back in tonight’s lineup after returning from a successful journey at training camp with the New York Islanders. Dal Colle agreed to terms on a three-year, entry-level contract with the Islanders just last week after being selected by the Islanders fifth overall in the 2014 NHL Draft. Having Dal Colle’s presence back with the Generals should prove to make the Generals even more powerful. Dal Colle scored 95 points with the Generals last season (39 goals, 56 assists) in 67 games played.
