Post by steamed on Fri Oct 24, 2014 4:06 pm

The Owen Sound Attack get Jacob Busch from Oshawa for a 2nd in 2016, a 4th in 2015 & a 7th in 2017 (cond). Condition is Busch playing as OA

I'm only assuming that this means that Pu will be back in the lineup. Nice return for a 7th round pick. I liked Jacob as a player... but.. replaceable.

Yes, I like Jacob. I was looking forward to see a more offensive push from him this year. Good look to Jake!

I really liked Jacob too. He's one of those guys a championship team needs. I'm assuming that the spot opens up for cliff up and the second rd pick will be used in a future trade to add to the team this year.

I have liked Jacob since last year. Thought he was a worker but expected more offence from him this year. I agree with KHE that it was a good return for a third/fourth line player. I think he will excel in O.S.!

Busch was one of my favorite players, like his skill set, drive and potential. But I also like this return, imo he will return for a OA year, so three picks are great. Its just upto the Gens to use them properly. They do need the picks, so getting them for Busch is fine.

I got a little insider info about Busch last night which surprised me. I like this kid since last years training camp and spoke to him on a few occasions. So I don't like what I heard. Recently Jake got into disagreements with DJ and Eric. A few choice F bombs by Jake and he told Eric where to go in no uncertain terms.
It looks like OS was shopping at the right time. The team thought they were good and no trades were going to happen.

Well this is intresting as a twitter account I have stated about trading (Busch) they didn't want what happened in sudbury? so I do thing something happened between busch and coaching staff, even though I like what Jake brought to the Gens but we got a great return and we needed room.

He was probably disappointed in his ice time, he wasn't exactly being given decent ice time. I really liked what Busch brought to the lineup, but at the same time the return we got for a 3rd line player who in my opinion is pretty replaceable is fairly good. When you think 2nd round picks you expect them going to teams for top notch NHL prospects. I think Busch can be replaced by a combination of Wallace, Manchurek, & Huether as far as style of play goes. He wasn't exactly an offensive force but he did produce more then those 3 aforementioned players, however I feel Pu returning will supplement his offence
