So where is crouse suspension?

Post by oshgens2k2 on Thu Feb 19, 2015 11:29 am

Tell me I missed the announcement of his suspension. It's on video a blatant two hander to the back if the knee goes unpunished???

We have been on the other end of the suspensions normally with ten games to Laughton last year and ten for cassels this year and eight for will. I expected a minimum 3-5 games or did brown have to go down on the ice and leave the game in pain to get that?

Waiting mr branch.......

My guess is Crouse got away with it.. Branch's computer got a virus and the video that is all over the internet he wasn't able to see it!!! Mr Branch you have to go.. If Brown went down and rolled around, 5 games but since Brown turned around and was ready to kick the carp out of him... you get 0 games!!

Like I mentioned earlier its similar to Delorys slash. I'm shocked and disappointed to see no suspension. If this isn't intent to injure, what is.

Delory got 12 games BTW, but a fight followed.

Just a complete and utter joke. An embarrassment really. As a Gens fan with the Kingston coming into town and our struggles with them, I would have liked to see Crouse suspended for that fact. But as a hockey fan, and seeing suspensions other OHL players have received for less then what Crouse did, he deserved a minimum of 3 games, but 10 games would have been completely justifiable based on what Branch has given out throughout the season.

As Chupa81 stated, I feel like if Brown had went down and was rolling around in pain, Crouse get 10-12 games instantly. But because Brown turned around ready to get retribution, Crouse gets off. We now know Branch bases length of suspension based on who the player is and how injured the player receiving the Hit, slash, cross-check, punch.. is.

i agree with what everyone is saying but first and foremost if the Gutless Ref would have called a major for intent of injury then we wouldn't be having this discussion,  he would have had to review the incident, sad but true it seems we get the short end of the stick (excuse the pun) most often.

This is incredible!!!! How is a two handed chop to the player, who doesn't see it coming, not a suspension!!! I am shocked!!! This is a disgrace, the OHL should be ashamed of themselves! And how does Vandesompel get away cross checking a player in the face, and no suspension. This Is setting up Saturday's game up to be a potential retribution night! Terrible things happen with this type of atmosphere. The OHL is to blame for any nasty play that surfaces. Hopefully we don't get any serious injuries as a result. that's my fear.

Game winning assist and goal tonight for a guy who should not have been in the lineup. Very disappointed in Branch and the OHL.

Get over it - it happens

Post by Gens Camper on Sun Feb 22, 2015 9:37 pm

What was more disappointing was we didn't show up for 45 minutes last night - and Appleby was not well

These refs are not perfect and are on the job training - the reason we don't have better refs - there is about a 30 - 40 % turnover

every year -either leaving the sport - going to the A H L or other leagues

I wish every call and every penalty was called then someone would be in the box all night - If Krouse gets suspended then most would

agree Van De Somple X Check could have been suspended - so it is a wash
