Trading begins......

The Generals traded Stephen Derocher today to Kingston for two seconds 2017 and 2018 and a third and fifth. Not too bad. Realistically we need to give young guys ice and recoup some early picks. If derocher gets that then mdc, mistele maybe manchurek, brodeur could bring in more seconds and 16-17 year old players . Hopefully a short rebuild has begun.

If the Gens get the two conditionals in '19 and '21, this is a steal considering Desrocher was a 6th round selection in 2012, I believe. They are likely to be owed if he returns for an overage next year. If not, the pickups negate what was paid for Pederson last year. Well done, Hunt!

gens move Mistele , Matt was a big part of our memorial cup season last year , wish him all the best , having said that , another great move by the gens , you can't have too many 2nd round picks , its how you build a winner .

hopefully Dal colle and VANDESOMPLE , can bring in more 2nd rounders before the trade deadline , 2nd round picks for 2016 hopefully .

Manchurek , having a breakout year , he should bring a good 2nd rounder , gotta move these guys , the team we have now is just going nowhere , lets be honest .

Manchurek and Vandesomple will not be traded as Manchurek would not improve any of the contenders and Vandesomple has another year or two remaining in Junior. They will finish the year here...bet on it! Dal Colle is the only remaining trade chip the Gennies have and they will need to get a player or two plus some 2nds in exchange.
