yes your correct, I skimmed briefly and just read that section which just says Gens take the ice friday, however in the previous part of the article it gives the dates

today!

Generals fans are invited to see the newest Generals draft picks hit the ice Friday night and Saturday morning during two team scrimmages

Friday, May 14th at 6pm – Red vs. White (Main Bowl – General Motors Centre)
Saturday, May 15th at 10am – Red vs. White (Pad #2 – General Motors Centre)

The Oshawa Generals invite YOU! – Our loyal fans – to FANfest on Saturday, May 15. FANfest is a celebration of our fans, for our fans.

The free-of-charge event will be held outdoors in the Southside parking lot at the General Motors Centre in Oshawa. FANfest will kick-off at 12pm and run until 4pm. You can enjoy carnival themed games, including a hockey shoot-out, dunk tank, drum circle, and lots of other interactive activities and displays. Our friends from Fire Protection Services, Softball Ontario, the Oshawa Curling Club, Premier Fitness, and many more will be on hand with some great activities for you.

FANfest will feature live musical performances and interviews on the main stage. You can also take a special photo with the players and send your well-wishes to the newest Generals, our 2010 draft picks.

Come hungry, because our friends at Halenda’s will be on site serving up Barbeque! As part of the Oshawa Generals ongoing partnership with the Oshawa Hospital Foundation, all proceeds from the Barbeque and other select activities will go towards the New Pediatric Department at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Additionally, our friends at Coca-Cola and Old Dutch will be sampling products at FANfest.

FANfest will be followed by the 2nd Annual Oshawa Generals Hockey Club Awards Ceremony inside the General Motors Centre from 4pm until 5pm. The ceremony, which recognizes the achievements of the past season’s players, has quickly become a tradition here for the team and the fans. Look out for special awards, such as the Eric Lindros Top Forward Award and the Marc Savard Top Scorer Award. We’ll also recognize the achievements of our senior players, Jeff Hayes, Tyler Taylor, and Alex Dzielski, as they move onto new, exciting hockey paths. Additionally, we’ll take a look forward to the future of the Generals with a formal introduction of our 2010 draft picks, including 3rd overall in the 2010 OHL Priority Selection, Scott Laughton.

On Saturday, May 15, spend the day with friends, fans, and Generals at Oshawa Generals FANfest and the Oshawa Generals Hockey Club Awards Ceremony!
