Re: 2nd rounder?????
Mark Petaccio would be the name you were looking for, as far as i know no one has signed other then Scott.
I expect us to sign several players though, other wise the deal with the Whitby Fury doesn't make much sense. they can't help develop are players if we have no players

Re: 2nd rounder?????
Does anyone know about the 2nd round pick? heard he is from the States, New Jersey or Pennsylvania. Did he go to the rookie camp last month? Do you usually sign 1st and 2nd round? or no?

Re: 2nd rounder?????
We will probably sign 4 of our first 5 picks, you can only play 4 so i assume 1 of the 3 was a gamble, can't see them gambling on more then 1 of the 5.

Re: 2nd rounder?????
The gamble was Cody Payne , the second of our 3rd round draft choices. He's gone USNTDP. If we lose Petaccio, someone should be fired!

Re: 2nd rounder?????
well sucks to be one of our top five picks doesn't it, since Cody was an unexpected signing, great news for the Gens, now if Lessio or Biggs show up i'd be thrilled
lots of competition for spots at camp will probably be a very good thing for us in the long run

Re: 2nd rounder?????
This is really great news as I read weeks ago that Cody Payne had made the USNDTP UNDER 17 TEAM like Biggs did last year. He was a steal in the third round!

Re: 2nd rounder?????
I would like them to take a long lookat Stephan Shears, a 6'3", 205 pound defenseman drafted in the 9th round from the NJ Avalanche. Thought he looked okay at rookie camp as well. I think they can sign him as he is a '93 versus the 4 '94's they can sign. Not sure of that though.
