NHL TRAINING CAMPS (Gens Players)

To the best of my knowledge these six Generals were to head off to training camp.

Dehaan (Will stick with the Islanders at least for Camp)
Dehart (Per tsn sent back to Oshawa)
Berger (sent back to Oshawa per Florida Panthers website.)
Thomas (Sent back to Oshawa, Scored goal on his first shot Friday.)
Valentine (Sent back to Oshawa)
Zador (did not attend camp with the Tampa Bay Lightning, and remains with the Generals)

valentine is in the ducks rookie camp, he had a fight sept 12th with some guy named henderson of the sharks, so far he is still listed on the ducks roster, so im not so sure he has been officially sent back yet. i checked the hockey news website and so far no players have been sent back to junior as of this morning. rangers website reported thomas played on top line the other nite and last nite he played his best game of rookie tournament. berger played for florida last nite in a 5 0 loss and so far he is not listed on todays projected line up

i just checked the islanders website and dehart and dehaan were both in the lineup vs the bruins last night, i was not able to find out anymore info on how they played except that the isles lost

Valentine is not listed on the newest training camp roster for the Ducks that I have seen, so I assume he's heading back with the conclusion of rookie camp. Info on the Islanders is hard to find. Bergers team got wrecked 10-1 in two games against Nashville. Haven't heard much on Thomas.

p.s. the Leafs released players from there rookie camp already to the best of my knowledge as they released there training camp roster already. Unless of course they kept every player from the rookie camp.

also I beleive all rookie camps rap up today? since NHL camps can open tomorrow?

i just went to nhl.com and clicked on anaheim website and there you can get last nights boxscore and valentine was listed in the line up

Ya rookie camp roster, not the training camp roster for nhl camp tomorrow

im sure he will be back anyhow, he played 3 games 0 pts 0 +- 7pim, and no reports of praise anywhere

Don't believe everything you hear. You never know. I suspect we will see him back unless he really impresses at camp. With that long layoff he had with the shoulder injury, another year of junior may be the best thing for him

de Haan I believe will be back, even the Islanders site has stated in previous posts that there isn't a lot of spots and with the injury he will more then likely be back in Oshawa either way I think the team looks good with the players they do have and the players that will be returning from camps

Ya I know, actually the Rogers preview show is the only thing I've seen so far that has said he won't return, I think theres a better chance of Dehart not returning then Dehaan.

Berger will be attending Floridas main training camp.

Valentine added to Anaheim training camp roster.

No word on Dehaan and Dehart, assuming they stick with the main camp though, Dehart with an Anhl version of camp if they are not the same camp.

Dehart has been sent back to the Generals.

Was happy to hear Berger was invited to Florida's training camp.
Hopefully he will be drafted in the next nhl draft.
Glad to have him back in Oshawa.

Valentine is supposed to play tonight for the Ducks!

According to the report on nhl.com, Valentine played over 16 minutes, had a game-high 5 hits and had 2 shots on goal in Anaheims loss to the Coyotes.

Former Gen Brett Maclean had a goal for the 'yotes.

So per tsn valentine has been returned. According to the rangers 22-24 players will be cut by sunday after the completion of there rookie games.

Has anyone heard anything at about Calvin's situation and how things are panning out at the Islander Camp. From most reports I've seen, the good money is he will be back to play in junior to strengthen and condition his shoulder .... and simply get serious ice time. But i've seen nothing official and the Islander web site isn't exactly loaded with info.

I have yet to see anything stating him in the top 8 for defencemen on the Island. That said I can see him staying for the entire camp, and if he surprises then who knows.

depending on his rehab he might even stay with the club, he played some regular season games with the isles last season before being sent back, and the isles are a young team so like archer said who knows

Newyork lost a dman for the next six months after an injury occured during the blue vs orange game. Could give one of the newyork rookies (possibly calvin) a huge oppurtunity.
