Week # 2 CHL rankings

Post by Gens Camper on Mon Sep 27, 2010 10:50 pm

Well we have moved up to # 3 on the CHL weekly rankings - Congrats GENS - but no time to dwell on it as

Ottawa Friday will be very tough - you will face much better goaltending and power play

lol

maybe my heads just buried in the dirt since its the second time i've felt that need to say it, but someones head is in the clouds?

I mean best team in the OHL?

I'm not trying to take anything away from the Gens or there effort last week against the Petes but I mean really?

I wish with all my heart that we were the Best team in the OHL I really do, but theres teams that are better.

(I really hope a month from now i'm eating my words)

Were did you see this? When I go to the CHL site it only list Week 1 (which the Gens are not on) and it says that Week 2 will be released on Wed Sep 29.

I don't think the list that appears on the front of www.chl.ca is correct. For example, Mississauga is not on that list. They will be ranked ahead of Oshawa.

If you go to the GENS home page - on the right click on CHL - BMO list rankings - GENS at # 3

I realize what you're looking at on the CHL site however it is not correct. For example that same list yesterday contained 100% QMJHL teams. Today it seems to be ranking all the teams in the CHL that are undefeated. It is NOT the official rankings as they will be released Wednesday. The rankings that appear on the CHL site main page seem to be all the teams that are unbeaten across the CHL which are ranked according to goal differential. That is why Red Deer appears in the #2 slot, 12G for and 2G against for a differential of 10 ahead of Oshawa (14G for and 6G against Diff Cool.

There will be an official press release by the CHL tomorrow with the new top 10.

There is probably also going to be a press release from the OHL confirming the 2 game suspensions for Andy Andreoff, Boone Jenner, Scott Sabourin and Anton Zupanic. I believe these are automatic as a result of the game misconduct second fight penalties they all got on Friday night.

I'm looking at some sort of BMO CHL Top Ten with Oshawa at #3 right now, main page of chl.ca. Drummondville is ranked #1 at 6-0-0-0 and then there are 9 teams that are 2-0-0-0. Kitchener is #5 and the Soo is #9. Have they made the top 10 automated by simply having a computer program calculate the top 10 by winning percentage?

OHL confirming the 2 game suspensions for Andy Andreoff, Boone Jenner, Scott Sabourin and Anton Zupanic.

Interesting as the game summary only has Jenner down for one fight. One of the other players on the OHL supension list also had a phanton first fight on the weekend. scratch

I would think Generals property would be called up ahead of a Fury game regardless if they're playing

Not in the top 10, but an honourable mention. I'll take that for now considering where the team has been in recent years.
