Here's hoping we can start the weekend off right.

This is the swing weekend, if we have any chance at 2nd two things have to happen this weekend.

Ottawa needs to lose at least one of there games vs Missy and Niagara (which is a possibility)

The Gens need to win at least one more game then Ottawa does.

If we can end the weekend 3 points back of Ottawa it will set up a huge final weekend where the Gens control there destiny.

Oshawa has to run the table if they want to win the division. That's the bottom line. It's not a long shot for them to do that based on the teams that they play, but that game in Ottawa on the 18th will be a beauty. I just really hope the game has some meaning. Ottawa is home for the remainder of the season hosting, Niagara, Mississauga, Oshawa and Sudbury.

Oshawa is on the road for the next 3 vs Kingston, Peterborough and Ottawa before returning home against Brampton and Peterborough.

It's not a long shot by any means for Oshawa to pull this off, they just have to take care of their own business.

If Ottawa loses 2 games (one being vs Oshawa) and Oshawa wins the remaining they will win the division. Oshawa hasn't won the division since the 90-91 season.

Let's Go Gens this should be a good game tonight and could be a previwe of a 1st round playoff match up between these 2 teams. and i suspect pete di salvo will get the start tonight for the gens.

I hope Jenner is okay. That was a really dirty play by Werek at the end of the game.

I would expect a suspension but that doesn't help if Jenner has a concussion. He looked like he was a bit foggy after the hit.

44B.4 Match Penalty – A match penalty shall be assessed to any player who deliberately attempts to injure an opponent by checking to the head area.

That ot point is so huge for ottawa they have the tie breaker on us. Mississauga must beat them sunday for us to have a good shot. That said we must win tmrw first. Petes must win, bulls pulled 4 points ahead of them. If we win all our games we still need ottawa to lose a point in one of there other two games.

I don't want to take away from the win but that penalty that gave the Gens a two-man advantage that led to the winning goal was completely bogus. Full credit for taking advantage though, particularly to Thomas with the hat-trick to bring him up to 52 goals. Amazing for anybody, even moreso for a player who is still 18.

Hockeybeats i agree the penalty on braithwaite( i believe) was a brutal call but its rare that the Gens are on the favourable end of most brutal calls.
The officiating in the OHL on most nights is just bizarre and imcompetence is the norm

I would like to see that again, cause when I first saw it, it looked like a penalty. I thought the call should have been kneeing, not tripping cause Braithwaite hit him with his knee.

The Kingston announcer whinned about it forever.
