Jensen ties the game on a lucky bounce. At least that was what the announcer said. I call it bad goaltending, when u try and steer the puck instead of stop it i dunno why its luck. Go Gens Go!

Dang 2-1 final. I would have bet money that more goals were scored. Gens found there game at times. If they can get it together for 60 min we can win.

Special teams were the difference - they had 1 power play and scored we were 0 for 3 and a PP with less than 3 minutes

Oh our 2nd period lapses were costly

OH well - go get at home Sat night - GO GENS GO

Visentin was also very good. Stopping Thomas on the breakaway with three or four minutes left was the pivotal moment of the game. The Gens had some half-chances after that but nothing really significant. Niagara plays a pretty good shut-down game on their smaller ice surface just like St. Mike's used to do at St. Mike's Arena and with really good goaltending, it will be very difficult to get a road win in this series. The Generals must win all their home games - Niagara has easily the biggest home/road winning percentage disparity in the conference. If the Gens win this series, it's in seven games stealing one on the road.

Could be in six, depends on which game they steal on the road Very Happy

I thought the Gens played well last night, but did not play consistent throughout the game. There were lapses in the game, and although all the lapses didn't show up with goals against, they prevented goals for. There were a number of times I found myself saying 'what are you doing' or 'get going, move it' or something along those lines. This is a very good Niagara team with an above average goaltender. The Gens need to play the full 60 minutes, especially in Niagara to win these games and the series. Last night was somewhat of a feeling out, now it's time to put the pedal to the metal and not let up.

Di Slavo played great, and it is very helpful to know you have a goalie behind you that you can count on.

Go Gens Go!!!

Awesome game!!! Exactly how I thought it is going to be. Both teams flying and some great goaltending. That is exactly what we got. What a treat...thank you boys....that was great.
Visentin actually robbed Thomas twice and stood on his head.

Game #2 ....we can defintely win. Need to get traffic in front of Visentin though....we are not going to beat him from the outside. We really need dirty goals for this series. Hopefully coach will see that and start playing that way.

Go Gens Go!!

It was a good game and will be a good series. We are what we are, a weak defensive team with a good goaltender now to bale the team out, combined with a potent offence. It makes for an all-out exciting brand of hockey - maybe not a playoff championship strategy but this is not the NHL and it can be successful in Junior hockey at times so who knows. It makes watching at least enjoyable because you really have no idea how it will turn out!
