I can't believe this. Rupert only got 5 games for his total intent slash and then jump on and pound a defensless player. What the heck is wrong with Branch.

To play on your words....IF Thomas stick had.....yes, the OHL video even states it was not intentional....Ruperts was. Rupert not only slashed the guy, he jumped on him after and proceeded to pound him.

It is hard to figure out. I just don't bother to try.

You will go completely crazy trying to figure out the rationale. It looks like if you do something that is not intentional (at least according to the media release Thomas' actions were not intentional) you get a more severe suspension than if you intend to hit some one.

Anyway no point in getting fussed about it. I'm just happy to have Thomas back.

When you look at it overall (not as a Gens fan), the players of every team must be very confused.

WOW. When I saw the vid a while agol I thought 15-25 for sure. Total and utter disregard for player safety. It is what it is alright, and it is a joke. Not that I needed this latest example to make that decision.

The point is - IT is what it is - it does appear that the Thomas play is not as severe - my point is let's move on and not compare apples to oranges.

Every year there are suspensions that are not as severe as others and plays that we think should be suspensions that are not.

If you were to put the Judges hat on - I would think anyone of us would be criticized for making the wrong call some of the time.

You can never please everybody all the time - whether it be hockey or life.

Just adds to the urban myth that Branch has it in for the Generals I guess!
