OHL Standings

For those of you who don't want to do the math. Every year I put together and keep track of the standings the last 20 or so games, however I do it buy most points available rather then where the teams actually sit. More of a who controls there own destiny, since it takes into account teams who have games in hand still. Figured I'd post it and update it for anyone interested.

Standings as of Sunday Night 12/02/12

Not sure of your formula when teams play each other - if a team wins all of their remaining games that is their point total - BUT when you play each other it changes

If we win all of our games except the 2 vs the Petes and the Petes win all of their games we miss the playoffs.

GOOD NEWS IS WE DRAFT 4TH overall - bad news we traded our 2nd rd pick

No formula just most points available to each team. Clearly not all teams will finish with these points totals. I like to see it this way this time of year because a team like the Bulls who looks like they are further back in the standings really aren't.

Also useful to see when teams clinch a specific spot or are eliminated because teams don't have a chance to catch up.

Heading into Friday Night

Lots can happen with all the teams battling tonight.

well all i can say is the gens have dug themselves a deep hole now , going to be very tough to grb the 8 th and final playoff spot , really tough schedule ahead .
i'm not rushing in with my playoff money.

this teams work was abysmal against barrie this weekend , certainly not the play of a team fighting for a playoff spot , i never would have dreamt we were going to have such a brutal year this year !!!!

They deserve to miss the playoffs.

After the weekend.

The Pack has started to really seperate. The Gens really blew it, however because the Petes, did as well the Gens lost very little ground. The next 5 games will be extremely tough, followed by 5 games that will make or break the season.

The last 5 are in 7 days - can't wait for a 5 game winning streak

The next 5 games we need to get some points or the last 5 will

be meaningless

I would hate to play the last game 1 point back of the Petes for 8th
