I know it's early but what teams do you think will be returning strong lineups for next season?
Who will be the teams to beat in the East and West?

In the west, London and Windsor will both be loaded next year with 15 or more returnees and quality ones at that. In the east, Mississauga, Barrie and Owen Sound look like they will have a fair number of players back. Dark horses will be Guelph and Ottawa, possibly Kingston.

The Gens will be in tough for the next two years if players from previous drafts show up in Windsor, London and Kitchener, for example. These teams have drafted American players in 2007 and 2008 who chose to go to the U.S. development program or were slotted to American colleges and may turn up in the OHL next season. Among them are Jeremy Morin and Jerry D'Amigo for Kitchener, Cam Fowler, Kenny Ryan, Jack Campbell and Stephan John in Windsor and Jason Tinordi in London. London also has players like Chasen Balisy and Adam Clendenning who chose not to report last year. Many of these players were selected in lower rounds as teams knew they would not report and selected them as "futures" as they were in a position to take a gamble on them. They, plus their new draftees this year, will make them as strong or stronger than last year and "kick start" the Rangers rebuilding program. Not good news for teams like the Gens!

Re: Who Will Be The Teams To Beat In 09/10?
Windsor will be strong again next year.Dont be so sure that Clendenning will report to london, he was not happy when thomas was traded away since they are friends, and he is wondering if the hunters will do the same to him in a year or two if he reports. This type of stuff doesnt look good on the hunters. The bulls are loosing tons of talent and should be near the bottom, right beside the gens.

Maybe, we can get Hunter to trade Clendenning to the Gens to re-unite him with Thomas as in their midget days? I'd give them London's 2010 3rd back to them, if that didn't look suspicious to Branch?

gmc.. the Bulls won't be that bad if two or three of Tangradi, Palmieri, Pither or Cameron return as over-agers. Not very likely, however! Pither would look good as a Gens overager!

The bulls lose maschinter pageau tanaka as o/a murphy and subban will not be back and if they get two o/a back they r still young. no murphy will hurt the most.
I said to the people that sit around me when the trade went down in jan, that there would be more parts to it in the summer, and i still feel that way, i may be wrong. but time will tell.

How can we get hosed now? Only if we make bad choices! Who are "they" who "are regretting making the trade look good on the Hunter Boys"?

I think alot of you are forgetting about Mike Vellucci as a coach and GM. Always look out for his Plymouth Whalers.
