Would be nice to go into the break with the Petes at 40 pts, Ottawa at 39 and the Gens at 38, with the Gens having an extra game on Ottawa and 2 on the Petes.

Nice to see 6 different Gens get goals last night. I wonder when the last time was that 12 Gens got points in a single game. Let's keep those kinds of numbers going tonight!

An 8-1 loss is a far cry from a win. Sorry but it just was not our night. If we won every game what would be the point of watching hockey.

I real glad I got to see them play a fairly decent game lastnight in Owen Sound.

Not the best the boys have played. But MERRY CHRISTMAS To them all. and all of you as well.

Definitely the worst game this season. You could tell they were not into it at all as the score indicates.
The season has definitely seen its up and downs but that is hockey. Keeps things exciting. Can't win them all.
Shake it off guys as others have said and have a safe, healthy and Merry Christmas.
Looking forward to a great second half of the season. Thanks for entertaining us so far.

By no means have they clinched but talk of missing the playoffs is crazy talk. Belleville's lost seven of eight. The Gens might have a blip here and drop a bit during the WJC but they will bounce right back when they have a full lineup.

Correction: no they won't have a blip because they will be playing Belleville twice and Kingston once in the first four games of January. Ottawa will be tough but they should at the very least win two out of four even missing some key players. Not enough for a fall of significance down the standings unless Kingston or Brampton gets hot which is not likely if you look at their schedules. Brampton has Mississauga twice and Barrie over the next four. No way they win any of those three.
