Gens in Ottawa Oct 1/10
Let's do it again, we can down those 67's. Yes, we are shorthanded and to my knowledge the 67's have all their players back from nhl training camp, including Tyler Toffoli. But we will pass the test of adversity tomorrow night and we will win. It will be interesting to see who fills in for the suspensions. GO GENNIES!!!!

I believe Dips said in an article that he's going back to Zador on Friday...I think we see Bailie in the net on Sunday vs Kingston

Re: Gens in Ottawa Oct 1/10
I saw on the OHL site that Ottawa has some players suspended as well. I think they have 2....I can't remember the names.
I think we still have a good shot at win here. We still have some scoring strength up our sleeves. It will be more of a test for our defense and Zador tonight. If Zador keeps making the save we need to stay in the game, we have a really good chance at another 2 points.
Go Gens Go!

Dalton Smith is one of them, Jon Carnevale is the other one

Re: Gens in Ottawa Oct 1/10
Friday nights are a great atmosphere in Ottawa, a tough building to play in. The Gens made a statement last week with the dominance of their win, the 67s will be motivated to be at their best. Hopefully they can pull it off.
Whoever wins, I think this will be a close game. I'm gonna say 5-4 Gens, Josh Graves with the winner, on the powerplay.

Re: Gens in Ottawa Oct 1/10
It would be terrific if the Gens could start the season 3-0 and have 2 road wins under their belts. I'd be surprised if the Gens didn't get a chance on the powerplay for the entire game...so with them already leading 4-3 and maybe getting a powerplay or two of their own in the 3rd, I think there's a good chance that the Gens can come out of Ottawa with a win!
Your 5-4 prediction hockeybeats looks pretty good at the moment!

Re: Gens in Ottawa Oct 1/10
That was a really exciting game. It had end to end action all night. Zador stopped the ones we needed to be stopped and we didn't take our foot off the pedal. Nice to see that kind of effort. The last minute and half was some really good defensive work by the Gens too. They worked hard and were rewarded. Awesome job boys. It was great to see Clark have more than two shifts and create a few offensive opportunties for his team mates. A really nice pass to Berger, who just missed by a hair.
But the last shot on the Ottawa guy at the end of the game wasn't necessary...up to that point he played a well disciplined game, was aggresive but restrained.

Re: Gens in Ottawa Oct 1/10
A great start to the season! Nice to see an average of 3 goals against in the first 3 games...and I guess averaging almost 7 goals for in the first 3 games isn't bad either.
I really like the early season execution and confidence we're seeing with the Gens when defending a lead late in the 3rd, I think that speaks to an improved determination and commitment of the team to playing the cliched full 60 minutes. I don't think Ottawa had any real sustained pressure in the 3rd (only 7 shots)...and going back to the opening game of the season in Peterborough, after Jensen scored with 1:25 to go to give the Gens a late lead, the Petes couldn't get anything that looked like a quality chance. A big improvement in that area so far.
Jensen, Payne and DeHart have 3 game point streaks on the go...2 road wins already and 3 wins against division opponents, with the chance to make it 4 on Sunday!

I liked Berger's goal in the second and Clarke puts Gibbons in the media box in the third. Great game. See ya Sunday.

Re: Gens in Ottawa Oct 1/10
The defense seems to be playing really well in the 3rd period with the game hanging in the balance but a little lazy earlier in the game. Zador's two saves on clear breakaways were really important moments in the game. I can't remember what the score was at the time but Ottawa had been able to tie it up late in the 2nd or early in the 3rd, the momentum would have swung the other way.
