Gens @Mississauga Dec. 10
Hopefully the boys come out strong and not like they did in Belleville.
They need to put in a full 60 minutes to have any chance against Missy.
Maybe DiSalvo will get the start in net tonight.
Let's go Gens.

Anyword on Dehaan? If he's playing I say they should sit Dehart. Cause once Dehaan departs you'll probably rotating Berger, Brown and DiSalvo out of the lineup.

Just speculating, I would presume? There will be a trade shortly to rid themselves of a goaltender, but I don't think any of the overagers will be gone until after the World Championships or the trade deadline.

Press release I was given states the Calvin DeHaan will NOT be playing tonight. It was mentioned on a number of occasions on Wednesday night that he was playing his last game before leaving for selection camp.

I didn't watch the entire game Wednesday, anyone know where the camp is being held. If its in Toronto then he should be playing for us tonight, if its in another province then i'd think giving him the night off is warranted.
Either way good luck C

The camp doesn't open until Saturday http://www.tsn.ca/world_jrs/story/?id=344871
archer, I would have to disagree with you. If the camp had already started, no player should be going anywhere...that is why they have camp. Camp is more than just practice/tryout...it is also bonding. All a mute point though, cause the camp doesn't start until Saturday so he should be there tonight.

ogf sorry I miscommunicated my point. I knew the camp was tomorrow. My point was supposed to be that if there is no travel time to consider that he should be in the line up tonight. Even if camp is at 9am, that plenty of time cause he can stay in Toronto tonight. I agree with you a player on team canada should not be playing junior hockey while at camp or during the tournament.

Don't be too hard on the Gens fans in the middle of a recession!
"Last season, the Majors took on the Ottawa 67’s and set a new record for Mississauga Teddy Bear Tosses once again. This time is was Kelly Geoffrey who opened the scoring for Mississauga and 1013 stuffed animals flooded the ice."

You make a terrible comment. 3100+ teddy bears was not pathetic, it was generous. Its not a contest, it's a gesture of goodwill, Merry Christmas Archer!

both major goals were garbage too. flukes. Missy thought they had this game in the bag. No Dave Cameron behind the bench to yell at them.

Actually that was Mississauga's second home loss. They lost to Erie 2-1 in a shootout. It was however their first regulation loss.

Re: Gens @Mississauga Dec. 10
With the Gens last 2 games against the Majors and the Bulls, I wonder how many fans at the start of the week were thinking...if the Gens are going to get 2 points this week, it will come against Mississauga.
Left lots of time to get to the Hershey Centre last night with the weather and roads, and nice to see some other Gens fans in attendance. The Gens work ethic was very good last night and I liked the commitment shown in the 3rd with the shot blocks. Outside of the too many men penalty, the Gens basically gave the best team only 1 powerplay chance...and didn't give them a single powerplay chance in the 3rd while defending the lead.
Now if the 67's could just go on a bit of a losing streak, we'd be in business!
