Generals @ Majors Wednesday Feb 14th
All Right 4 Games, 6 Nights. Every game is now a must win if we have any chance of catching Ottawa.
Gens Clinch
4th Place with 18 points
5th Place with 13 points
6th Place with 10 points
7th Place with 1 point
Out of a possible 30 points.
Both road games this week should be tough tests, but hopefully we can keep up with both teams. Mississauga could very well be our second round matchup unless we lose first round or the Dogs steal 1st.

I would rather prepare for the playoffs than burn out trying to catch Ottawa
We need to work on special teams , cut down on penalties and no more than 2 guys deep on the forecheck or it could be a short playoff
We have 3 left with Kingston , who could turn it around real quick

According to the OHL game summary, Jimmy McDowell has an A on his jersey for the game tonight. Don't remember seeing him with a letter before. Well done Jimmy!

When the Gens are up for the game, they can compete with anybody. For whatever reason, they don't get motivated for the games against teams below them in the standings. I'm sure they will be fired up for the playoffs - hopefully this is a sign of what we'll be seeing when it matters most.

Best effort from the Gens in a long time. PP worked. Team played hard start to finish dumb dumb penalties were kept to a minimum. No soft goals allowed, Di salvo was solid. Most impressed with the final few minutes as the Majors were itching for some antics, and we stayed away from it, with only the Dehart fight stemming from it.
It really is crazy how some of the "definite win" games we seem to miss, and we can beat the majors twice. I guess one way to look at it is how another poster(hockeybeats?) put it. The bottom teams won't be in the playoffs, and the top teams will. So I guess that's a good trade off. Let's keep this going.

An excellent game for the Gens!
The Gens have beaten Mississauga both times they've played at the Hershey Centre this season...this is fantastic confidence for the Gens. Should the Gens and Majors meet up at some point in the playoffs (and even if they don't), the Gens have the psychological edge that they've already proven they can beat the league's best.
Shawn Cayley commented on twitter what a statement tonight's game was. For sure. Exactly what we want to see as we get into playoff mode. Can't wait for Friday night!

Re: Generals @ Majors Wednesday Feb 14th
Great character win tonight - The MAJORS sort of quit after we killed off the 5 min major
But the down side is we will lose 2 for at least the next 2 games as - Jenner was hit with a 5 min major - slewfoot
and Dehart was in a fight with less than 5 min remaing in the game and the GENS ahead by 4

Great team win for the boys tonight.
Solid effort, disciplined play for the most part, and a great outcome.
Great to see 8 different players scoring and when we were up 6-0, Dips put some different players on the ice for the powerplay.
Dips mixed the lines up and was great to see Labardo on the line with Lessio and Thomas.
Keep the momentum going boys. Not only did you make us all proud of your efforts last night; hopefully this win boosted your confidence going into the last games of the schedule where you do meet some great opponets.
