Mr Berger comes to the aid of Mr Thomas - gets an indefinite suspension - TBA - not sure why -

Clark suspension will fall 8 - 10 games

There was no Belleville penalty on the play, not even for the player Berger was fighting.

47.2 Aggressor – The aggressor in a fight shall be the player (or goalkeeper) who continues to throw punches in an attempt to inflict punishment on his opponent who is in a defenseless position or who is an unwilling combatant.
A player or goalkeeper who is deemed to be the aggressor of a fight shall be assessed a major penalty for fighting and a game misconduct.
A player or goalkeeper who is deemed to be the aggressor of a fight will have this recorded as an aggressor of a fight for statistical and suspension purposes.
A player or goalkeeper who is deemed to be both the instigator and aggressor of a fight shall be assessed an instigating minor penalty, a major penalty for fighting, a ten-minute misconduct (instigator) and a game misconduct penalty (aggressor).

47.10 Instigator - An instigator of an altercation shall be a player or goalkeeper who by his actions or demeanor.clearly pursues an opponent who is a non-willing combatant; attacks or jumps his opponent and proceeds to throw punches. The player or goalkeeper may also demonstrate any/some of the following criteria: distance traveled; gloves off first; first punch thrown; menacing attitude or posture; verbal instigation or threats; conduct in retaliation to a prior game (or season) incident; obvious retribution for a previous incident in the game or season
A player or goalkeeper who is deemed to be the instigator of an altercation shall be assessed an instigating minor penalty, a major penalty for fighting and a ten-minute misconduct.
If a player or goalkeeper is deemed to be the instigator of his second altercation in the same game, he shall be assessed an instigating minor penalty, a major penalty for fighting and a game misconduct.
A player or goalkeeper who is deemed to be both the instigator and aggressor of an altercation shall be assessed an instigating minor penalty, a major penalty for fighting, a ten-minute misconduct (instigator) and a game misconduct penalty (aggressor).
Any request by a Club to have an instigator penalty reviewed and rescinded by the League must follow the same procedure for game misconduct penalties as outlined in 23.2.

Clark got 6 games = 2nd playoff game

Clark got off lucky - But he will not play vs Petes in 2 more nothing games

Branch should have given one his 10+ gamer suspensions to Clark. Do the team a favor. Berger's sounds about right comparing it to the notes on how the "aggressor" is handled.
