Picking up Di Salvo was a great move. The Gens have had a really good 2nd half. With the final 2 home games still to go, the Gens have gone 20-9-1-3 (1 OT loss, 3 shootout losses) since Christmas, including an awesome 10 wins in 12 games in the month of February.

Re: Vote for Generals MVP tonight??
You only need to look at last night's game to see where the team would be without Peter DiSalvo. He got my vote.

Re: Vote for Generals MVP tonight??
He had my whole familys vote as well as mine.54 goals is a amazing accomplishment but when u have no goalie to count on then getting wins is hard to come by.Case in point last nights game.
And if the gens dont find another goalie when next year comes, its gonna be a very long year.
With playoffs right around the corner a losing streak is the last thing we want going into the playoffs, especailly if they play brampton.Just think of the mental edge they have now over the gens after last nights game.

Re: Vote for Generals MVP tonight??
DiSalvo got my vote as well.
I don't think last night give Brampton a mental edge. Everyone could see what happens when you don't get goaltending.
Brampton is trying to avoid Niagara. The Gens were emotionally flat after the loss in Ottawa.
Brampton are a difficult team to play because they check so closely.
As to next year last night just confirmed that goaltending needs to be the priority for next year (but I don't mean drafting a goaltender in the first round).

Re: Vote for Generals MVP tonight??
I totaly agree with Oshawa fan we will need next season Bailie had 3 seasons to grab the #1 spot and failed to do so(my opinion maybe not yours)there is a goaltender that is out there that the Gen's problably get cheaply and he plays for SSM Chris Perugini even though he will be and OA he will be avaiable as the Soo has Matt Murry that they want to use more often and Chris wants to play between 40 and 50 games which he won't get playing for the Soo this is why the Gens should go after as next year as it should be there year ,I wouldn't even have Bailie as back up, trade him for what you can get and use Bo as back up.

Re: Vote for Generals MVP tonight??
There are some good goalies out there, my hope is that our gm does a deal before the season.Where would this team be if we had our mvp disalvo all season. Im not to worried about getting a goalie for a cheap price, use some draft picks. Jp anderson from st.mikes who is a 92, would be first choice. also i think teichmann from belleville will be available. I am not to keen on an o/a goalie. I believe our three o/s next season will be andreoff, valentine and dehaan. yes all three will be back, along with biggs coming up from ncaa, and yes he will also be with the team, even though some on here dont believe me. GO GENS GO. Lets have a strong playoff run. Sorry to get off the mvp thread

Totally agree with this choice. If you have a chance at the best, go out and get him. We have good young players and draft picks. Lets use Them.

I think theres a good chance of maggio back, other wise why trade for him we had 7 dmen already. Makes me think there a good chance of him being back. Or maybe we are a little dumber then i thought.
