East predictions
The only possible upset I can see is right here in GENS land - 7 games
Kingston has been under achieving - like a sleeping bear you don't want to
wake up - whoever wins game # 1 will likely win the series
Sudbury may win 1 game but I doubt it
Missy will win in 4
Niagara will win in 4 - Brampton couldn't beat the Bulls - so they beat the
GENS last Sat means nothing

Re: OHL PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS RD 1.
Ottawa is so banged up, if sudbury gets hot ottawa could be an injury away from disaster. Could the gens be upset? Absolutely we are young and unpredictable but never say never. The only series id bet a years salary on is missy beating the bulls

Re: OHL PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS RD 1.
Predictions are always fun to read. Here are some that I've found online. I’ve included the links in case anyone wanted to see their predictions on the other 1st round match-ups too.
TorontoNews24.com
http://www.torontonews24.com/city-sports/25-hockey/224-ohl-playoff-preview-quest-for-the-j-ross-robertson-cup-begins
21 Points separated the two teams during the regular season, hardly the gap one would expect to see in a 4th Seed vs. 5th Seed Series. Regardless, the Frontenacs and Generals have battled through tight games all season long, as 5 of the teams’ 8 meetings with one another would be solved either in Overtime or in a Shootout. The Generals won the season series 5-3, and all eight games between the teams were decided by two goals or less.
Prediction: Oshawa in 6
InTheORadio.com

(4) Oshawa Generals vs. (5) Kingston Frontenacs
This series can be the most exciting. Not because they will be great games featuring tremendous D and amazing Goal Scoring with tremendous saves from the goalies. But because this series will be the definition of Gong Show. There is so much hatred between these two teams that it will not be an epic series. Will Oshawa win? No doubt. Will it be a very physical series considering these two teams history with penalties and suspensions? Yep. In the end will Christian Thomas and the Generals 3 Top Prospects send Erik Gudbranson and the Frontenacs to the golf course… you betcha. But then again I believe at this point… any team against the Frontenacs will be able to take them out with any trouble.
Prediction: Oshawa in 7

4. Oshawa Generals vs. 5. Kingston Frontenacs
Season Series: Generals 5-3
My Analysis: You have to feel for the Fronts a bit. Their prized offseason acquisition, the guy who was supposed to help them in this exact situation, is currently unavailable. Grubauer is back in Germany recovering from mono which means that Frank Palazzese will have to take this team to the promised land. The same Palazzese who was pulled in his final two OHL games. The Fronts will also be without Ethan Werek for the first two games due to a suspension. The Generals are an incredibly explosive offensive team and that means Erik Gudbranson and Taylor Doherty need to step up huge for Kingston to have a chance. This will likely be a bit of a shoot 'em up series. Over/under on the total amount of goals scored in the series? I'm just not sure Kingston can go up against an offensive superpower like Oshawa with an unproven youngster in net.
Prediction: Oshawa in 6
(Just for some balance, I’ll include this one too. )

Kingston vs Oshawa
After years of disappointment, it would be nice to see the Kingston Frontenacs riding high. It would be nice to see them in the second round. They made moves this year to earn a mention with the upper echelon of the east. They can score. But so can the Generals. This series comes down to whose goalie allows the fewest goals, because the people working the red lights are going to be busy. Reach into your pocket, grab a coin and give it a flip.
Prediction: Kingston in 7

We should not get ahead of ourselves. The Gens have to beat Kingston first. Having watched them go up 3-0 once and lose I worry until the 4th win is in the books.

Re: OHL PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS RD 1.
Got to agree with Oshawa Fan on this one....its not over till the scoreboard shows at least one more goal under Oshawa and the buzzer sounds! Let me tell you I won't breath until the buzzer sounds. Anything is possible--anyone remember the Peterborough Series in 2002? The Petes fans were singing kiss em good bye and on their feet cheering and Nolan tied it with 2.9 seconds and the Gens went on to win it in OT?
I worry that IF (really hope not) the Fronts win tonight they will gain to much momentum and heading back to Kingston Sunday wouldn't be good.
I really really hope the boys can pull it off tonight. It was great news to see Di Salvio and Valentine were back in the line up for tonight.
Go Gens Go!!!!!!
