Kyle Hope suspended

Kyle Hope has received an 8 game suspension for his charging penalty Friday night in Sarnia.
Another suspension the Gens can't afford. That is a total of 30 games in suspensions that have been assessed to the Gens this season.

Havent seen the hit yet. Was it worthy of 8 games?

Yes it was. Left his feet by a good foot high.

The Coaching staff better do something about this fast, they are luck so many guys are back from nhl camp, otherwise we would be several bodies short.

I can't remember a time where we took so many long suspensions at one time, not resulting from the same game, but in almost consecutive games.

These guys could easily lose there spots, not smart at all.

well i just watched the hit that hope gave... rly not 100% sure its worth a 10 game suspension... he doesnt leave his feet till contact.. looked like he hit then came up, so i guess thats the head shot... oh well, the league seems to love suspending players big amount of games these days..

He left his feet. Last minute or not, leaving your feet is a dirty hit and has no place in the game. If short suspensions didn't send the message, maybe longer ones will. After three of these early in the season, hopefully the Gens are getting this out of the way with now and learn from it and not receive these suspensions down the stretch or in the playoffs.

It's amazing that only now their cracking down. Both the NHL and ohl. Amazing what happens when Crosby gets hurt.
