Not a Rumour here but in Windsor?
Some posters on The Noof and HF Boards are talking about Rychel moving Ebert to Oshawa for Laughton with some other lesser pieces in a major move. Hypothetically, what would you think of: Laughton. Payne and Bailie for Ebert and Campbell? This is just tossing this out there for opinion.

I agree how about everyone give it a rest . Some here were around when sherry bassin only won 5 1/2 games, but the team and the fans seem to have survied . Give this team time to gel rome was built in a day!!

Do you actually think it's the players fault? Dips has had his shot. He has had full reins and major drafting opportunities - especially from the bonehead multi pick London move for Tavares - and a full drafting cycle. And now those players should be moved? More than the (sub .500) record needs to be changed around here!

maybe we could keep on topic for once!
I like the idea of a trade, however i don't want rental players.

Yes and perhaps that helps at least some of us to put it all in perspective.
Campbell might be useful addition but I remember the last time we added a goalie from Windsor.

The only Problem with the give them time to "gel" is every shift has different players each time. They never get a chance to play with the same players and learn how to play as a line

well what are we really getting?.....I believe Campbell will be gone next year(its his oa year), Ebert is a 94...thats alot of potential to give up in Payne & laughton also do we really need goaltending? honestly.....not alot is being said about the goaltending this year as it was last year.....I think both are playing well at this stage of the season.
just remember it takes 2 teams to trade & everyone knows we need "D" maybe dips is playing a waiting game.

Re: Not a Rumour here but in Windsor?
Yes Jaycro, cool, there is some rumblings in Windsor, the threads advise Nick Ebert is in play....not sure how accurate this is but he could be a piece of the puzzle that would fit nicely with Oshawa. Ebert is a mobile offensive defenceman that can move the puck. He is slated to go in the first round in the 2012 draft. However, there is talk that he is not a mentally disciplined player and he should be wearing an A, but was overlooked.(ugh.. just what we need). Ryan Murray is more mentally disciplined than Ebert, but Ebert has got the edge on skills.
May want to becareful here, this could be baggage that may add fuel to the fire.....but if the rumours are true this guy is worth a serious look...I don't see a need for Campbell...

Recently involved teams in trading include Sarnia, Soo, Ottawa... not losing teams by their place in the standings! Erie...agreed! But that's one of four!

Re: Not a Rumour here but in Windsor?
Well. Let me ask everyone this.
Would you trade Scott Laughton for Nick Ebert straight up.
Would I.. now?? Probably not. I say this as I think Scott will be a valuable offensive piece to this team next year and trading a quality young forward is a mistake in my opinion. I think I would be using Cody Payne to acquire the defenceman somehow.
