Rumor so far, for a 3rd or 4th.

Unless it's both I don't get it. Even then I might be left scratching my head.

The father wanted his kid out. Dips has been trying to make a trade for months now. It takes two teams to trade and no team wanted him for the asking price. This issue came to a head and this is the most he could get, I am sure. Dips did the right thing here. This has nothing to do with Dips, he didn't want to lose Cody but it is what it is. I hope Cody and his father can find peace in Plymouth but that will not be easy with all the good offensive players they have there. Good luck Cody.

Kids 'wanting out' is a huge management red flag! It begs the question how many more want out? Win, lose, or draw players should want to do anything to be on the team and can't wait to get to the rink! More than the players should be 'shopped' around!

Boy there has been a lot of BS on this board lately. It's quite comical. If Cody doesn't want to play here, trade him. If anyone else doesn't want to be here trade them too. Bottom line. Cody was a 3rd round pick. I'd expect that the return is a 3rd round pick. If it ends up being a 4th rounder I'm not going to cry about it. Losing Cody isn't a bid deal, he can be replaced.

It is easy to blame players because of management/leadership short comings, incompetence, and sub standard judgement. Anyone can indeed be replaced - but don't expect different results! Be careful with the offer to other 'unhappy' players! A 'revolving door' is not exactly a great recruitment tool! Obviously little or no emotional connection was achieved. It is a big deal. Sad.

Ok. Let me ask you this. Was Jesse Blacker wanting out of Windsor a big deal to Windsor?? No. It wasn't. He didn't want to be there so they traded him. I would not describe Oshawa as a 'revolving door'. It's nowhere close. There is ALWAYS be at least one player that is not happy on a team. That player is normally a rookie or second year player that thinks they are better than they are OR maybe they are a little better however are caught in a numbers game where there are better players ahead of him. It's not a new thing and happens all the time.

Sunaya has confirmed the trade is done via twitter. Don't know what's coming back though.

EDIT: 3rd round pick in 2012.
EDIT #2: Also a conditional 6th round pick in 2015.
