The mid season NHL draft rankings are out and we have 3 drafted GENS on the list

Ranked - #40 - Scott Laughten

Ranked # 176 - Josh Brown

Ranked - #180 - ex GEN - Cody Payne

When you look back as to the position the Gens drafted these 3 - Scott round 1 - top 5 pick - - 2nd rd pick Pataccio not ranked - Brown & Payne - both - 3rd rounders

Others drafted after them are ranked much higher - has our scouts delivered - not yet

Dont Forget Altshuller is Ranked 7th over all for North American goal tenders.

The Charles Wang of the OHL will not be around in 2014

Also ranked are two players from the 2010 draft who will probably never see the inside of the Gens dressing room, a la Biggs. Ranked 44th, just four spots down from Laughton is Zachary Stepan at Shattuck-St.Marys (11th round 2010) and Thomas DiPauli at 72 from the American U-18 team who was selected in the 13th round by the Gennies in 2010. Who knows, maybe one of these flyer picks might show up at some point!

We need the top Q B type defenseman - hope this happens - we will likely draft in the top 10
