Re: NHL & NHLPA AGREE TO NEW CBA
Here is a list of OHL call ups:
A list of prominent CHL junior players eligible for recall by their NHL teams if or when the current lockout ends. Submitting a player's name on the list doesn't mean he will be recalled when the lockout ends, but makes him eligible for consideration. These players could be recalled to tryout for their respective NHL teams and then normal rules would apply for keeping them or sending them back to junior.
Player Pos NHL Team Junior Team League
Broll, David RW Toronto Sault Ste. Marie OHL
Ceci, Cody D Ottawa Ottawa OHL
Corrado, Frank D Vancouver Sudbury OHL
Faksa, Radek C Dallas Kitchener OHL

John Davidson said that Boone would be invited to camp. That doesn't mean he will make the team nor does it mean Boone has played his last game for the Gens.

Re: NHL & NHLPA AGREE TO NEW CBA
If our trade deadline isn't moved. We have to guess what to do..... which sucks.
If both Laughton and Jenner go off to camp, maybe selling isn't so bad....
Sell everything and have a young competitive team next year, not great but better then what we are looking at now.
The problem with selling is that I believe Barrie and Niagara just became sellers and the Bulls are going to buy from them. Maybe we should look for deals now that there could be a lot more sellers and gamble on Jenner being back.
I have a question as well lets assume the season ends when it normally will or even May 1st. Conference Finals, or OHL Finals, can the 14 teams send back down a player to us? If we left Jenner on our roster and Columbus didn't make playoffs could we get him back. Cause that could be a reason to buy if he would be around for the last few series.

Re: NHL & NHLPA AGREE TO NEW CBA
Before any decision can be made on buying/selling, you have to ask the question...can we buy enough to beat the other teams in the league...not just the Bulls, Ice Dogs, etc. but the Knights, etc. You also have to ask yourself where exactly does selling get us and can we really get what we should for the players in this marketplace. There are alot of factors to consider before buying or selling is entertained.

Re: NHL & NHLPA AGREE TO NEW CBA
I think the East is for anyones to win and The Gens are as good as any team (when healthy) so with out selll and adding a few players could easy be the differance in winning the East and anything can happen in the west.I would love to win the east just to be in the OHL final were then again anything can happen.

Re: NHL & NHLPA AGREE TO NEW CBA
It is not as if NHL teams haven't stuck it to the Generals fans before Bobby Orr, Tony Tanti, Dave Andreychuk et al just to sell tickets in Boston, Chicago and Buffalo respectively. Don't panic. You might be surprised at how far the GEns will go. Kingston Gens fan. My son already told some Kingston fans on Friday night that if they want to see the Memorial Cup in Kingston, they should deal for Dan the Man in Goal. Croc over and Out.

Re: NHL & NHLPA AGREE TO NEW CBA
Can't see Columbus burning a full year of Boone's ELC for half a season of playing and one in which they won't be making the playoffs anyway plus Boone isn't of the class of players (style, skill, personality) where people are going to buy a ticket just to see him. He'll be back which is good for us.

Couldn't disagree with you more. Boone plays the game that people pay to see. The Hitting, Penalty Killing, Scoring. He plays 200 feet. Boone IS what sells tickets.

Re: NHL & NHLPA AGREE TO NEW CBA
Davidson said Boone would be invited, but his performance would determine if he stuck. Boone is a large part of this team, however he isn't the team. They just proved they can play and compete with without Boone in these last couple weeks. Intact they played extremely well under the circumstances.
