Eastern Conference (as of Feb 2)

With North Bay going 7-2-0-1 in their last 10 they've pushed themselves into 3rd in the Eastern Conference Standings. They're just 2 points behind Sudbury for the Central Division lead, having played 1 more game then Sudbury. Barrie does have 3 games in hand on the Battalion but even if they win all 3 North Bay would still be a point up on them. Kingston is in serious jeopardy of dropping to 5th place as Barrie sits just 5 points back with 2 games in hand. Even Peterborough, after going 6-4 in their last 10 has made a push to catch the top teams in the East. With all these teams hot play of late, it could be a very very interesting Eastern Playoff this year. An although I'm a die hard Generals fan an I'd like them to sweep every series 4 straight right to the Memorial Cup, the 2013-2014 Playoffs seem to be setting up to be one of the best in years.
Every year you can predict whats going to happen in the playoffs right up until the Conference finals, this year with 1 threw 6 in both Conferences pretty close in talent we could see some serious upsets and lengthy series. Even the likes of Mississauga, Niagara, & Owen Sound have teams good enough to win a few games come playoffs.
