3rd dates ( depends on who wins NB or Barrie

The third round series in the East will feature the first place Eastern Conference Oshawa Generals against the winner between the second place North Bay Battalion and the fourth place Barrie Colts. The Battalion currently lead the best-of-seven series 3-2 with Game 6 scheduled for Sunday evening in Barrie. If necessary, Game 7 would be played Tuesday night in North Bay. The Generals advanced following a 4-0 series win over the Peterborough Petes on Thursday.

In both scenarios the Rogers Eastern Conference Championship Series begins Friday April 18 in Oshawa.

I guess the thinking by the Gens is simple - let's hope Barrie wins Sunday then back to North Bay Tues - game # 7

If North Bay wins - that's 14 games vs Gens 8 playoff games then they play 7 games in 10 days - that is a lot of Hockey

If it's the North Bay team - they will have played 5 or 6 games more than us and 7 more in 10 days

If it's Barrie well they would have played a minimum 4 more than the GENS and 7 more in 10 days

So the thinking is simple the Gens get 3 of the 4 GENS prime Friday / Sunday and the visitors will tire quicker
