On the Gen's web site they have listed Stephan Seeger a new player? Don't think he was a draft pick is a forward and a 96 birth date

Re: New Player ?
Gens have him listed as a C but on the Moncton site he was a LW? If he's here, could spell trouble for players like McDade or Wallace. Stingray's posting suggests he was released late August so maybe he was unhappy in Moncton and was looking for a new environs? Not an overager though to replace Dundas. Maybe to replace MDC? Seriously doubt it however!

Re: New Player ?
Stephan Seeger is a C/LW, originally from Mississauga, Ontario. I believe he has some upside, and was just not happy in Moncton. He's a fairly efficient point producer, not elite however. It will be interesting to see if he can contribute in the OHL, you rarely see players jump from the Q to the O, its usually from the O to the Q as we saw with Justice Dundas, Mitchell Dempsey & Adam Batemen.
In 25 games with the Moncton Wildcats Seeger had 5 goals & 6 assists for 11 points.

Re: New Player ?
I highly doubt its to replace Aidan Wallace, Wallace is never going to be the point producer some of you expect him to be, or have been expecting him to be come. Wallace is a 3rd line player, efficient on the forecheck and in penalty kill situations. He has offensive ability, although has never been given the opportunity to play top 6 minutes. He's simply more effective in the bottom 6 and contributes in that way. The Gens coaching staff and management love his compete level and he's simply not going anywhere. Dal Colle has been showing well, however, he will likely be returned, he needs to get stronger, and needs to get better away from the puck an defensively, those aspects of his game are simply not at the NHL level yet.
Owen McDade should be worried, he's a great guy in the dressing room, his teammates love him, an he's a decent fourth line option. But if the Generals wanna contend an go deep into the playoffs this season they are going to need to role all 4 lines.
Joe Manchurek for me is the likeliest trade candidate for the Generals, he carries some value become of his age and offensive ability, he just is not being used in offensive situations becomes of the depth of the Generals top 6 forwards. He's done okay as a checker and penalty killer, but that's not his role, and there are others who do what he's being asked to do better. I know Erie is looking for help up front, and could have Kurtis MacDermid come back as an OA. With Dundas moved, moving Manchurek and McDade for a player like MacDermid would a huge addition for the Generals.
