Gens @ Kitchener Fri Feb 5th/2010

this should be intresting game tomorrow since the rangers are a pretty good team and also hopefully the gens stay out of the box cause u can't win too many games if u take dumb penalties, and Let's Go Gens Whoop Whoop

They certainly need to play a disciplined style of hockey with the Rangers and stay out of the penaly box for sure.
Very difficult weekend for the boys but let have some faith that they will step up and be in these games.

It is crunch time. Lets see how much the boys want to be in the post season this year.

I can't remember the last time we beat this team

I can tell you 1 thing - last yr Kitchener had a worse record than

we did and they have about 20 points more than us and play in

a tougher division this year

i think they beat them like 2 yrs ago i know it was on sportsnet but not sure tho maybe somewone will know better the me lol.

not a good start by the gens 4-0 kitchener common gens wake up geez.

4-2 now in the 2nd period.

4-3 now.

7-5 rangers, about 2 mins or so left in the 3rd.......

Wow what a finish to this game!!!

Too bad we let in the 4 early goals. We were playing with a lot of heart and determination tonight. If we had played the whole 60 mintues like the last 40....I think we would have won.

We took a lot less penalties...and less whining about penalites tonight too.

Definitley would have been a different game if we were in the first 15 minutes of the game.
Boys seemed to come around after Dips took the time out.
Wish it was a different result; but the guys beat themselves by not playing a whole 60 minutes.

I liked that we continued to play after the game was 4-0

we need a goalie next year

What was your first clue we need a goalie. It has been .like this all year long. No better than last year .

AND thanks to Zador. Bailie stop 5 of 8 shots....thats 62.5%; Zador came in when down 3-0 and stopped 40 of 44 shots...that 90.9%.

Oh, for all your Bailie lovers out there....he sits DEAD LAST in both goals againsts average and save percentage for ALL goalies in the OHL.

not too sure what game all you die hard general fans where watching but from my seat I saw 4 goals scored in the first 8 mins of the game and ALL where scored because the team was standing around watching the rangers like there where in aha!

Compared to the 0-6 loss to ottawa, where the gens shut down after 3 goals this was a vast improvement. Kudos for Dips using a time out before the the third (finally) to rally the troops. The generals proved a lot to themselves despite the loss, they can come back, Thomas is a force to reckon with, and certain players can stay out of the penalty box. Win or lose I am proud how they played. The team is growing!

was not Baillie's fault. Even the announcer commented on how bad the Generals forwards were in the 1st. No back checking at all... Some of them were just floating around.. after the 1st we were a different team.

I find it interesting that when Bailie has a bad game it is never his fault yet when Zador has a bad game it is his fault. The stats don't lie. Bailie is last in the league for all goalies in both save percentage and goals against average. Are you telling me that when Bailie is in net the players don't play, but when Zador is in net they do? I am not saying Zador is the answer, but Bailie certainly is not. The Gens do need someone better than what they have today.

They should both be better. It's like none of them really wants the starting job. I guess I was spoiled with amazing goaltending when I was following the Majors and I saw Budaj and Chiodo both battling to be the #1. In that case, neither one won the job because both played tremendously. Here, both goalies play well for a game or two and never manage to put together a string of wins. If I were coaching, I would have no idea who to play, they've both been inconsistent at best.

Those were some really great teams though at St. Mike's and they would go on to appear in the conference finals four years in a row.

Maybe I'd give Bailie a slight edge since he's younger but I don't think Zador has been that much better despite last night's performance.
