Horns at GMC Centre Empty Horns at GMC Centre

Was anyone aware that securty made people with horns check them at last nights game????
I wondered why there were no horns last night.
Security said the store doesn't sell them anymore so they can't come in. Store doesn't sell cowbells either so wonder if they will clamp down on those too. Have to wait and see what happens.

Good news. Anyone who has ever sat next to some kid with a horn who sounds it every two minutes will be happy.

While I do agree that it can be annoying at times...banning noisemakers just sucks the atmosphere out of a building that barely has one as it is

I agree with both of the above comments but more so with Gens_Fan. Noisemakers do add atmosphere except when it's overdone like at the soccer championships this past summer. Judicious use is fine but to have it constantly throughout the game can be irritating, if it's right behind or beside you!

I have no problem with cowbells but air horns are too much. The decibel level is such that hearing damage can occur for those seated in front of or beside the horn.

No I didn't see them checking the horns. But I can understand it. When you have kids there. that are bored and they are blowing on the horn for the zamboni or a line change....it can get on one's nerves. As well as they don't stand up...the sit in the seat lean forward and blow....I agree it can really hurt someone's ears.

i take a big bell with me on the road. The onlytime it is used is when they come out, A goal, or good play. But to say icouldn't use it would upset me. It is a way of showing the fellas that there is support in the stands.
