I like This New Coach

I find it very refreshing to finally have a coach who is invested in every game. I have been watching him, and what a change from our coaches of the past. Smith is actively participipating in every game. He is constantly talking to the assitant coaches and players. He is not a couch coach,which we have had in the past. He seems to be able to relate to the kids and they seem to be responding postively. I really hope this trend continues. It is great to have that kind of enthusiasim for a change. We are not going to win every game, but if we can continue to grow, this season is going to a great year for the fans! So far...I like what I see!!!

That's great insight and great news to hear for fans alike and the Generals in particular.

Just curious, from one fellow Raven to another, have you graduated from Carleton, or did you return for another season?

I do like this new coach - BUT old habits on this group are returning

ice time among the top group is too high -

We are still the most penalized team in the OHL - with a very poor penalty kill

Laughton started running and yapping in the 2nd 1/2 of Plymouth game , many of us thought he need to be nailed to the bench - wasn't

Are We surprised he gets an disciplined hit LATE in a tie game when he knows the

team needs him more now with Lessio down

Too much passing on the Power play not enough shooting

Now we face the arch rival Petes twice then Guelph

This will be the real test of this coaching staff to regroup the troops before another season goes down
