Post by steamed on Wed Apr 17, 2013 3:35 pm

Some fan's will be happy with this news....
The Oshawa Generals today announced that Goaltending Consultant Michael Lawrence has completed his contract and is moving on from the organization.

Michael rejoined the Generals organization in 2010 after serving as goaltending coach and consultant for HC Sibir Novosibirsk in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) and the Owen Sound Attack. He has done an exceptional job over the last three years and the Generals are thankful for his contribution. Michael will be concentrating his efforts on his goaltending school Pro Goaltending.

“Mike was a hard working member of our staff and we thank him for all of his efforts and his commitment to the Generals,” commented Oshawa Generals General Manager Jeff Twohey. “Our goaltenders will have a different voice moving forward and our search for a new goaltending consultant will begin immediately “

Didn't realize he was still with the Attack. If so, he did a good job with Binnington (2nd best goalie in OHA!), not so much with our goalies although there was notable improvement in Appleby's development from when he first arrived on the scene.

Well Altshuller did not improve as much as he should have

He certainly wasn't challenging shooters like a top goalie should
