Well this game will have the reverse of the Petes vs GENS - Mindset

On Friday Jan 24 - you had the PETES coming into the GMC to prove they could compete with the 1 st place GENS

On Sunday Jan 26 - you have Erie coming to the GMC and the GENS trying to show they can compete at the top

Erie played Friday night and lost to their rival Niagara on Friday night BUT - will be out for revenge on Sat night in Belleville

Then our GENS host the Erie Otters with their top line - Lets hope we have the right mindset for this one

Defence - patience and few penalties - Great Goaltending will be needed - to be the best you must beat the best

A full house will be ready to cheer on our GENS - GO GENS GO -

Bulls / Erie game was postponed til Monday night. Todays game date is Jan.26.

Should be a great game but the toughest on the year to try to win. It will be good to see our compete level in a big game.

Connor McDavid didn't play Friday night. He was out with a lower body injury. Hope he's good to go tonight. Will be good to beat Erie with their top talent in the lineup. GO GENS!!!!

Well I hope Connor still has a sore back and will not be playing tonight, as it gives the Gens an even a better chance of winning  

Compete level was there. I think DJ made a mistake pulling Dan at that point of the game. I really think Appleby should be playing more especially against Ottawa, Belleville, peterboro... Need a rested goalie for the playoffs. I believe the coaches said early on they wanted to cut down on dans games to avoid burnout.

Good game but you could tell Erie was just a bit better. But they competed and had a chance to win and that's a good sign.

it seemed like a game that was just not going to be ours. I felt like the gens outplayed them most of the game, but didn't get the bounces. we shoot and the rebound hops over our stick, they shot and it goes right to the guy on the door step.
don't think ive seen the refs stop a fight before it starts then give 10min misconducts. usually 2min a piece.. then at the end of the game smith gets another 10 for enticing. wasn't that more correct for the first one...

A couple of games ago we saw a fight stopped like that. If the refs have a chance to stop a fight especially a staged one they do, I've seen it a few times in the past couple of years.

I've seen them stopped yes. But I don't remember them handing out 10's

The boys played well last night and should have come out with at least a point, the puck wasn’t bouncing the right way! Erie reminds me of the Gens teams the last 2 years, they have the talent but it’s only in 2 lines, I think come playoff time they might lean on them to much and they might start to ware down. Fox and Brown can only play so much, the line was out there ever other shift.

Two things that bothered me were those long tip-in passes from deep in the Gens end to the opposition's blue line and the defencemen not covering the players in front of the net thus tap-ins and tip-ins. Vande Sompel is tuning into the puck carrying offensive defenceman. He's going to be an offensive force and a joy to watch in the next 2-3 years!

i agree Jaycro with the long shot in, what's the matter with starting the play in your own end with the centre and wing go up the ice together, most games i've seen this year most other teams use this method as did the Erie team. D.J. must be watching a lot of Leaf games dump and chase hate it with a passion.
The team looked good just a few brakes and we could have had this game, need more presence in front of net, not having all forwards working the boards low and make use of the POINT more often than they due, better then that sharp angle shot. My 2 cents
