McDavid hits fan with stick

So shades of the Jake Cardwell Incident in this evenings game.

Following the 2nd period, some fans at the tunnel got under McDavid's skin and he struck one of the fans with his stick. Still trying to find video to back this up, but it was witnessed, security spoke with the individual who got hit. If anyone can find the footage would love to make it public to see how the league reacts to their poster child doing something like this.

I wonder if Branch will suspend him for 10 games like Cardwell got.I doubt they suspend there poster child

My question what did the fans say to McDavid and why.  Do they think it is clever to taunt an 18 year old kid.

My view is that unless you are younger than the players you should not taunt them.  If you have ever watched your kid play a sport think about how you would feel.

Not defending the stick incident but just wondering why some fans always think it necessary to taunt the best player on the ice. We saw it with Tavares when he played for the Gens.   I can't remember if Orr was taunted as a junior though I know he was as a pro (which is a very different thing in my view).

I am happy to be able to watch him play but even happier with the job the Gens have done to shut him down  (so far).  It gets harder with losing the final change in Erie.

Connor mcdavid has been nothing but a class act throughout his OHL career. He has endured the hype, the media scrutiny and constant attention on the ice with nothing but class. In many ways his ohl career and hype mirrored what Tavares went through. The ohl always markets the best and brightest. Lindros, Tavares, stamkos, mcdavid. It's only good business.

If something did had, an I admit I'm skeptical, the league will have to deal with it in some fashion.

Nothing will be done unless the OHL has it on video

We want to win this series with Connor in the lineup , so there can be no Ifs
