Town Hall Meeting?

I was @ the Green Gaels game this afternoon (Gaels WON to advance ) a pal of mine said to me did you get an invite to the Gen's Town meeting,he couldn't remember the date but thinks it's Aug 14th. The meeting is suppose to be about the ownership of the Gen's, and the Coach?,has anybody got there's yet?

Was it sent by e-mail, Canada Post, or an automated phone message? I've remember none of the above.

One page invitation that reads:

Oshawa Generals Coach and General Manager Chris Depiero And Oshawa Generals VP, Business Operations Joe Kantor Invite you to attend an open forum to discuss the direction of the Oshawa Generals team "on" and "off" the ice.
Event will be held on Wed Aug 19 from 7-8:30 in the Leisure Room at the GMC.

Please RSVP prior to Aug 12.

Great idea but someone in communications is not communicating to everone

in the past some meetings have only been for those with the expensive seats.... maybe this is the case?

It is not the case as my friend got the letter and he has standing room seasons.

I'd blame Canada Post! I live just down the street from the GMC (yes, we walk to games) and we have not gotten our invite either.

well it just means that they like some of us more then the rest of us lol..... what a terribly slow organization..... 3 weeks until the season, shouldn't we be getting our tickets soon? i mean i only paid months ago

in todays times of saving money

why not send out E mails - to those that have given an Email and

letter post everyone else.

Or maybe they could post it on the website....Oh wait, forget it. LOL

lol its posted on the new website i'm positive.... now they just need to tell us where that new website is

lol i never got my invite either yet.

I wish they were as Mickey Mouse about taking my money as they are with the website and Town hall meeting.

My seats aren't exactly free. Everyone deserves an invite. Maybe we should just show up anyway. I hope the bar's well stocked.

Well, I didn't get an invite either and have been a seasons ticket holder for more years than I care to count. However, my sister, who has NOT renewed her tickets for the upcoming season, DID get an invite.

So,,,,, I don't know.......

Funny you say that my freind that told me about the invite he got also didn't renew..

seems to me that this event may be an opportunity to convince subscribers who haven't renewed to do so. I'll bet if you call the Generals and say you're interested in attending they'd be happy to have you ... altho you may hear nothing more than a sales pitch

Screw this. Let's have our own meeting and not invite THEM!
