Wow where is everyone ??? Gee the kids win and there is no comments on a good game played by the lads . Sure it went to the shoot out, the point is they won.
I thought young Bailie held his own tonight and the goal that went through the five hole I thought he was screened on. What does eveyone else think about the game??
I also thought the effort was really good and they will win more games with that kind of no quit effort!!!

Re: Ottawa @ Oshawa Oct. 4
I love the effort too, but I'm a little concerned about them getting 52 shots on goal and still needing a shootout to win. I agree that Bailie played a decent game.............but I wish he wouldn't play the puck so much, his over-playing it lead to a goal.
There are alot of positives. They seem to be consistently out-working their opponents. They are playing a relatively disciplined games as well...............sooner or later though, goaltending is going to have to step up and steal some games. They will need to win some games because of their goaltending, not despite it.

I think with every game Bailie gets in net his confidence is going to get stronger. If and when he wonders he won't get himself trapped up like this eveing and in a case like that his d should have had his back, so both need to work on that part .
I'd sooner see this young team learn from their mistakes and keep improving!!!

I really enjoyed this one. It's one that would be entertaining win or lose. Agreed on Bailie -- someone get that man a bungee cord and keep him within five feet of the net! LOL
Lots of shots, hard work, and dozens of opportunities. The finishing isn't always there so not all of those opportunities became scoring chances, but I liked the puck movement and the positioning/rotation/foot movement.
I'm really enjoying Boone Jenner. Looked good on the forechecking and love the passion after scoring! Loved the team's passion after winning too -- I've seen teams win championships that didn't look much more excited. To me, that tells me these kids are having fun, and that's going to result in more Ws in my opinion.

A great effort by the gens. And finally they were rewarded with two points. Some mistakes, but that is gonna happen with this young club. Some gm's in the house.MIKE FOLIGNO, MARK HUNTER, SHERRY BASSIN from what i seen, these gm's were also at the st.mikes-barrie game today.I know its early, but something is brewing in the trade area.Hmm where is parnham going?

I am pretty sure they dont need to watch him play, to know the type of player they are getting.Jeff hayes along with parnham could be a good package for a team that is competing.

playing the puck
allows the puck to get down the ice faster and the break out to proceed to get play in the other team's zone quickly
Throws off the other team's forechecking play
reduces shots on goal
