Re: Nov 12 vs Ottawa
6-3 Win!
Are you going again tomorrow maybe you can be our good luck charm
Good effort for most of the game. However its discouraging that twice we allowed Ottawa close to ten straight shots on goal (actually the second time I think we got 1 or 2).
Other then that great pressure for alot of the game.
Clark matched his carreer high scoring his 6th goal of the season. He managed that in 46 games last year.

Re: Nov 12 vs Ottawa
Ok, so who had "by mid-November Clark would be leading Thomas in goals" in the pool?
Glad to see the much improved effort over the night before. I think many were probably expecting to see it. Glad that we got it. Hopefully now we see efforts like that without a previous embarrassing game being the reason for the improved play.
Wonder if the 67’s were a little guilty of the same mentality we show against struggling teams. For the first 2 periods, the Gens had a good edge in shots that lasted further than the half way point of each period. Shots were 11-1 Gens at 1 point in the 1st and were 13-3 at 1 point in the 2nd. That was a nice switch considering it’s usually the Gens who take a while to get going. As archer_gens said, it was too bad we let them back in both times, but it was nice to have the edge early on in both cases.
I could get used to 2/3 on the PP, a shorthanded goal and perfect penalty killing.
Something to build on for sure. Hope it’s the defining turn the corner and don’t look back kind of game that now gets us headed consistently in the right direction.

Re: Nov 12 vs Ottawa
I was reading somewhere maybe in the paper the same type of comment.
Who had Alcock scoring more goals then Thomas?
Who had the Gens allowing more shorties then Thomas has scored?
Hopefully Jenner Thomas and Labardo being re inserted eventually is a boost. But it goes to show we could probably trade 1 or 2 of our guns for 1 or 2 defence men, and improve substatially.

Agreed mate, very deep in forwards.
Couple of nice changes I seen in yesterdays game, only 3 penalities.. thats out of the norm...was great to see. Secondly, they where moving the puck more....seen a lot more passing than most games...hope they keep this trend.
Nice home debut for Agnew too, great win...
