Well - great start for Brett Parnham in Utah last night before over 9,000 fans

Brett scored on the POWER PLAY on his first shift last night as Utah won 4 - 0

Just in case you were wondering how he would do - some speculated he might not make it

That is exactly one more pro goal than our 'fearless' leader ever scored! He is making ex-leaf GM JF Jr. look like genius!

What does scoring a pro goal have to do with being an OHL GM?

While the Parnham situation may have been poorly handled what about the JT/DZ trade now? How does he look on that?

During his time here he gave his all. He left to advance his career. What exactly is wrong with that?

thats not it though, my problem with him is that he used us for free rehab and then took off

i have no problem with people advancing themselves, but he should have walked 2 months ago not now, and he shouldn't have demanded a trade or else i'm going to Utah

He scored a ton of goals for us last year. He owes us nothing. We owe him the time he spent in Oshawa for the sake of our entertainment. Life is a continuation. It moves on. I will never forget Brett one timing it into the left of the goaltender. Live your life Brett. Don't ever let anyone stop you.

Actually Gensman you're wrong. It's the same number of goals DePiero scored at a professional level.

Arch I disagree with you. He was still team property while he was using our rehab resources/ Looks like Dips couldn't get a deal done he liked so Parnham walked.... IMO winning a memorial cup would have gotten him a better pro contract had he stuck around, personally he could have gotten a better deal in Europe or the AHL next year, but its his choice

I have moved on with Brett. He provided many exciting moments for me so good luck to you, Brett. As a last question, does anyone know if Brett is still on the General's protected list until January 9th, the trade deadline? I would hate to think that this ownership/management has not learned from the Peter Tsimikalis fiasco.

I read somewhere that the GM said he would remain on the protected list (I think it was Oshawa This Week).

I just hope the coach/gm ain't on any 'protected' list!

I be suprised if Parnham plans were ever to play in the OHL it was all about getting a pro contract,and because of that I don't expect Dips could ever have traded him anywhere,hopefully Parnham dosn't do very well and Dips can get something in return but I doubt it but I would be suprised Parnham would not have his 20 game contract renewed as he scored 3 goals in 3 games.Oh by the way Parnham OA rights are on the protected list.

The chances of Parnham now returning (and possibly being traded properly this time) has gone from 'slim to none!' 'Slim' has just left town on the last stagecoach btw!

The next time Dips will see Parnham will be at the Alumni Golf tourament!
