Gens VS Plymouth - Fri Dec 18
Well this game will be intersting - hopefully we see the same strong effort
Tyler Seguin was just released from the world juniors and will play for Plymouth
The other possible Plymouth player is their goalie Hackett still in the running for Team Canada
This is the time for other players to step up - 3 games in 3 nights all vs the west
Home Friday - travel to Owen Sound Sat home to Owen Sound Sunday then it's x mas break - hoping for 2 out of 3

Think positive. 3 for 3. If they step up. They can do it. Not a doubt in my mind. Go Gens Go

gens 3 in 3
You really DON'T give Owen Sound much respect
You should look at the division they are in
plus they are 2 points behind us
Any team is beatable - BUT this is a tough 3 in 3
Lets hope we play the same way we did in the last 7 games
and we should be OK

Re: Gens VS Plymouth - Fri Dec 18
lol no ur right i give them no credit
Kingston 7 Owen Sound 3 and Guelph 8 Owen Sound 1 in there last two outings.
That being said they have beaten the Colts so who knows
Brampton, Ottawa, Niagara all beat them this season.
Yes Owen Sound has beaten a few good teams, but so have we.... Gens should be able to play .500 hockey this weekend

Has Owen Sound lost anybody to the WJC training camp? I don't know the rosters of Western teams very well at all but I do think that's a factor. The Gens should be happy to play .500 until the tournament ends.

Couple things, Owen Sounds Milan Doczy will be leaving tomorrow to try out for the Czech team however Joey Hishon will be back in the lineup after being out since October with a broken foot. The Owen Sound team is dedicating the night to him with a "Merry 'Hish'mas, Welcome Back #18 Poster" to the first 1000 fans.

Since we're playing an American team, does that mean we have to drink budweiser? LoL

I've never tried Old Milwaukee but if it were Milwaukee's Best, I'm out. That is undoubtedly the most foul beverage I've ever consumed.

Re: Gens VS Plymouth - Fri Dec 18
Plymouth used their back up goalie last night
We will not be so lucky
Seguin did not score last night
With our top D and forward out this will be a real gut check
week end

Thank you gmc 118 for the info on Hackett.
WOW! What a goal by Thomas!
Too bad it was the only one they got!

Re: Gens VS Plymouth - Fri Dec 18
Thought the Gens played an energetic, solid game tonight. They cleared their end well most of the time (an exception being the second goal) and showed good cycling. They might have won with a few breaks but they made it interesting. Must note, however, Plymouth was missing 4 or 5 key players.. Jenks, Hayes and Marsden etc..Well done boys against a strong team from the west (with some big boys!).

Re: Gens VS Plymouth - Fri Dec 18
The Generals played a similar game to each of their wins, but came up short this time. Thomas' goal was spectacular too :-) I still wish our defencemen would knock over a few pylons in front of our net, then Oshawa would be a much scarier place to play.

Re: Gens VS Plymouth - Fri Dec 18
Instead of Hendrix, you got a school choir!
Although the Gens lost, it was nice to see the reception for the goal by Mitchell Heard. That was quite a cheering section for a kid from Bowmanville.
Good game, one bounce away from getting a point. All this experience they are gaining in playing so many tight, close games can only be good for the future of this team.
