Re: Petes @ Gens Sunday March 7th
Austin Watson returned to the Petes line up from his injury the other night.
After beating St. Mikes Majors last night 5-1 is has got to give the Pete's a big boost.
They have had our number all season as the only time I believe we have beat them is early in the season (it might have been pre-season)
Got to start Bailie in net as he has the hot hand right now.
The guys were so happy with the two points last night and it showed.
Go get those Petes boys....you can do it.

Re: Petes @ Gens Sunday March 7th
As others have said the Petes' seem to have our number.
However if we play like we have the last two games, with good goal tending, better defensive play in our own zone and hard working forwards fore checking causing turnovers we will continue to do well.
I have been very impressed the last two games with the effort of all the players.
JP has shown his great work ethic and by rolling all of the lines we keep fresh legs on the ice all the time.
The only two comments on last nights game was that 23 and 25 were having long shifts and showed they were tired especially on the second goal.
Please coaches, roll all of the lines and defensive pairings and lets see how it goes
We must eliminate the stupid penalties and while everyone makes mistakes this is one area that the boys have to improve upon.
Sincerely

Great to see the positive comments for a change! If Bailie plays, and they can keep the momentum, then we should all be happy today!

You forget who fed Boone the pass on a 2 on 1
Calvin De Haan
This is a playoff type game - almost a game 7
Win and you still have hope or things will be real tough
Belleville and Ottawa then Petes all on the road and 3 in 4 nights
WED - FRIDAY - SAT
You forget Petes also have a home game with Sudbury

We were not as outplayed as the score indicated. It's going to be very difficult to make the playoffs now.

A 4-point weekend should be a positive but that's what happens when you dig that big a hole by losing 12 of 14 or whatever it was.

Re: Petes @ Gens Sunday March 7th
The Gens were brutal on face offs tonight. They did seem a bit tired and I agree they were lucky to be down only 1-0 after the first period. Not the best goaltending by Bailie but give hm credit for helping with a 4 point weekend.
Jenner played one shift after is dumb penaly in the third and then was benched. Its about time and I am a Jenner fan.
Sad to say we have seen Jeff Hayes play his last game as a General at the GMC Centre. His work ethic is going to be missed.

Re: Petes @ Gens Sunday March 7th
Until just recently, the bottom half of the eastern conference has played so poorly that the Gens can get 2 out of a possible 24 points in the whole month of February and still be in the hunt for a playoff spot. Thank goodness for their shootout success. The Gens have 9 extra points from 9 shootout wins. If some of those 9 had gone the other way, we're probably not still mathematically alive.

Re: Petes @ Gens Sunday March 7th
Ges_Fan_22; I second your comments on Jenner and Hayes. I think Jenner's head has gotten a little too big and as for Hayes, I could win a Memorial Cup with 22 of him if six had some goaL scoring ability. We will miss Jeff but we might have a successor in Labardo and by the by, whatever happened to Alcock and Pachis, two disappointing mid-season pick-ups? Hayes aside, no more trades/pick-ups from Guelph. They mainly disappoint. Maybe Labardo can change that perception.
