Gens @ Belleville, March 10th
Alright guys, everything is on the line tonight.
Losing would be devastating.
With a Win
Petes 58 (2 games remain)
Dogs 57 (3 games remain)
Wolves 56 (3 games remain)
Gens 55 (2 games remain)
With a Loss
We'd need to beat Ottawa and Peterborough, and Sudbury could pick up no more then a point, Niagara could pick up no points.
Petes play Wolves Thursday, so with the win we'd have a very good chance still.
Petes win, we are one point back, Wolves win we are 3 points back of the Petes but we'd control our destiny again. (OT is bad)
Hopefully there will be lots of fans out there supporting the boys tonight!
GO GENS GO!

We have won in Belleville before this season, I hope we can do it again. It will give us something to build on going into Ottawa and Peterborough. Those are much tougher buildings to win in.

My prediction is the Pete's will win Thursday as they only need 1 point to clinch a playoff spot,I think it may come down to Saturday game for a tie breaking game or a shot at the playoffs, but 1st we have to WIN both games against the Bulls & 67's

With Niagara at 57 points, Sudbury at 56 and the Gens at 53, there is no way we will catch a playoff spot.

There is still a chance as we are not officially eliminated, anything can happen.
Niagra has 57pts with 3 games remanding Mississauga,Bellieville and Mississauga.
Sudbury has 56pts with 3 games remanding Peterborough, Kingston and Ottawa.
Oshawa has 53pts with 3 games remanding Bellieville, Ottawa and Peterborough.
So there is a way but I do go to sleep every Wednesday night dreaming that when I wake up and check my
6/49 tickets I'm a winner just to dream all over next Wednesday night

'El Foldo' ... and I guess now the coach is gonna blame that one on his players lack of skill or discipline too?

Wow way to give up 4 power play goals boys!
Awesome discipline tonight!
Being outshot 21-8 in a period when your playoff lines our on the line! Wow super impressed. But wait it gets better cause you did it against the worst team in the conference.
Sorry had to vent, just got back, still feeling a little sick to my stomach.
Heres to next year. However that sounds hollow after saying the same thing last year.

Re: Gens @ Belleville, March 10th
It is 3-1 in the 3rd period with over 10 minutes to go in the game (and our season probably as we need to win this game.
Who shoud I put on the ice... EMERSON CLARK!!!!
Who takes a stupid penalty (as always) .. well he does have 1 goal this season and I guess you could say that he is due..
He selfishly gets a double minor and poof.. Belleville scores.
Pack your bags - season over...
Why is he on the ice?? sorry - why is he on this team..?
Then we fight our way back and then DUMB PENALTY AGAIN BY JENNER......
And then we are down to the last couple of minutes.. and
DUMB PENALTY BY SUELLENTROP...
EARLIER IN THE GAME - A DUMB PENALTY BY ANDREOFF which leads to sa 2-0 score.
How can this happen in a game where we need to win... against the worst team in the conference.. in the standings at least.
4 POWER PLAY GOALS FOR BELLEVILE.. SAD!!

Re: Gens @ Belleville, March 10th
I have been asking that question since November ,
The bowmanville Eagles have better talent than the Gennies including a coach who can get a team to the final with what the experts said was a bottom team
Clark should not even be in the league , he is slow , confused about positional play , Oh wait I heard the 'Jerry Springer' fight bell

Re: Gens @ Belleville, March 10th
You are forgetting the dumb penalty by Taylor when the score was 2 - 1
Me thinks the players just sealed the fate of their coach, probably St. Mikes is looking for a new coach after their poor season
The only way DIPS stays is to get Lessio on the team -
Some feel that Clark should play more because he can fight and gives effort - BUT is out of position way too many times due to poor skating

Re: Gens @ Belleville, March 10th
Game story here, total lack of effort in first period, selfish and poorly thought out penalties throughout the game but especially in third period, and poor D zone coverage led to all 5 goals (sounds like a familiar theme ???)

Re: Gens @ Belleville, March 10th
I only watched the end of the game last night, as I had a prior committment.
I see a lot of people are bashing Clark. This kid is a rookie. He was only getting two shifts a game for most of this year. I will agree his skating is very weak. But if this kid improves his skating this summer, he could very well be an asset to this team. He is a solid tough little player(one of toughest for his size). The last few games , he has generated scoring opportunties (his linemates did not cash in on) on the minutes he has been getting, and showed great improvement. And I love his toughness, I wish we had more players with the heart he has. And the kid doesn't seem to have a bad attitude only getting two shifts a game. He looks like a team player.
Obviously he is not going to be your superstar. I am not saying that at all. But he could be role player, and you do need role players on winning teams. I'd like to seem him next year. I like his scrapiness.

Love Clark's toughness but you need to score more than 5 goals over the season and I don't think Clark has the potential to accomplish that! Sorry!
