We still need a goalie coach

Why not bring Ian Young back ?

Our goalies need some mentoring

Ian was great here as a goalie coach but he is too far in the past. Goaltending styles have changed since his day. We need someone more current. We can't live in the past...see Selwood!

That is an insult - comparing the best goalie coach in years to the worst GM/COACH in the OHL

Let me see now how has our current goalie coaches worked out

Stopping the puck - positioning yourself - rebounds - doesn't change

I say you start with acquiring a solid stand up goaltender , then worry about a goalie coach

If you look in the NHL - how many of todays goalies are stand up

with all of the goal mouth scrums and players in front of the goalie

think about it - that is why today's goalies are down more to see the shot

We are about to hire our 4th goalie coach in 4 years, does anyone have any insight why? Were the 3 previous all bad hires?

Interestly, Don Cherry, who I (and the real Bobby Orr) happen to enjoy, but many do not, criticized Vancouver's coach last week for blaming his goaltender for poor results, saying never do that when the teams defensive effort is poor, you will only lower the goalies confidence level.

I am hopeful that Joe Cirella will bring what IMO has been lacking for a few seasons on our team, structure and committement to team defence. If I see this, and then still poor results, the above comment not look as silly as it presently does to me.
