Who do you feel should be this year's captain.

I agree with Jenner, he has shown the composure that you need as a captain and I think that the players on the team respect him.

Composure.. not sure he is ready yet... a lot of dumb penalties last season and a lot of whining. If Dehart is back give it to him. If not THomas if he is back.

Thinking about it, I would probably give DeHart the C and Thomas, de Haan and Valentine the A's

my vote would be Thomas the C, Dehart, Valentine and De Haan as A's

Jenner has composure? Were you watching the same player as the rest of us last season?

Valentine is not a leader, he hasn't figured out how to stay out of the penalty box. He doesn't take smart penalties. It is time for a foward to get the 'C' I don't think there will be a rush to name a captain unless it is Thomas. There are already four players who were captains on their previous teams. Let's see who becomes the leader when the season starts.

We need a captain, but two great alternates. Something like the year of Cal Cluterrbuck. He was an A but his play on the ice was a captain. Our Captain that year was terrific, but we need some serious leadership, on the ice to get this team focused and to stay focused. I don't want a repeat of last year, where our team, was in playoff contention and just stopped playing.

I think Jenner is too young to be captain yet.

Too young, and too immature to be a captain. I'm not saying he won't be down the road, but he's just not ready for that role just yet

I think Jenner has some growing up to do before he is even considered a leader on this team

I would be very surprised if the captain is anyone other than Scott Valentine. He seems to have the right mix of on-ice talent, NHL pedigree and is probably the most well spoken of the Generals. There is a very good chance that Calvin deHaan will not be back or at least not for several games and I think that the team will want to have a captain in place for the opener.

Although nobody wore a letter, it was very apparent that last night Jenner assumed captains duties.

i think thats because guys like thomas and dehaan arent back from training camp, and someone has to fill in for now
