Re: Bulls release their Captain
Good luck to Tyler.
He made the most of his talent. He always worked hard.
I hope he finds a spot in the CIS next year.

Re: Bulls release their Captain
bring him back... he could cost nothing, we have an OA spot open and he would give leadership to a young group making a playoff push... sorry to somebody like Emerson Clark who would lose ice time, but he is young and will have many more years to continue a Tyler Taylor type role. But this all depends on the terms he left the Generals on

Re: Bulls release their Captain
It makes no sense to bring an OA forward to play on the 4th line.
let some one play who may develop to be better player next year.

Re: Bulls release their Captain
Hate to break it to you BUT - we don't have many forwards to
develop for next year - and right now we have about 8 players on
the 4th line now
If Tyler came back - he might inspire some others
The problem right now is the price for an O A is too high
That is why Tyler might be a 1 minute to 12 signing at no cost

Re: Bulls release their Captain
It would be better bring up some kids playing Tier II to fill in. They might be useful in the future. Taylor won't be.

you can bring him in and then not play him if after a few games he has not improved the team

Re: Bulls release their Captain
Then why bring him in if you are going to do that I would rather see a younger player in that spot for the future.Too many key guys are injured or coming back to soon.We maybe out of the playoff race by the time we get health or fall into the last playoff spot and it's either Missisauga or Barrie... Ouch

Re: Bulls release their Captain
This team does not need leadership: it needs talent and Taylor does not bring that. Sorry! Meanwhile Bellevegas is developing a youngster in his place!

Jayrcro, every team needs a leader, no matter what type of scenario they are in (rebuild, transition, contention) To say a young team like Oshawa couldn't use a vetran like Tyler Taylor is far out there.
Belleville might be sitting out the playoffs. Making the playoffs is key for the Generals, gathering that experience is also developing these youngsters, players like Thomas, Jenner, Hope, Mcdowell, Sullentrop, Bailey, Padulo... besides, some people here believe we don't have enough OHL caliber players, so why bother developing them ....

Re: Bulls release their Captain
We have leadership in Hayes, deHaan, Dehart , Dzielski and Valentine. How many leaders do we need?

A team can never have too many leaders...but it depends what type of leader they are I suppose

Re: Bulls release their Captain
I am actually glad to see Tyler back. At least he hustles and does'nt quit. He has a good attitude and hopefully can rub off on some of the younger players. Maybe some of guys who dont seem to be giving 100% might learn something.
